I’ve been watching F1 for over 45 years. I fully admit I do not like Lewis Hamilton because of his behavior. This critique is in spite of my dislike. When you send your fellow competitor to the hospital and put him into a potentially fatal accident, you DO NOT celebrate on the podium like you just won your first race. You DO NOT run around the circuit waving flags, and accepting adulation from your adoring fans, home race or not. You should give a monotone post race interview and say while I’m very happy to have won, my main concern is for my fellow drivers well being, and I will celebrate after I know he is 100% ok, and we’ve had a chance to talk through the incident. There was certainly a way to thank the fans and accept the trophy with a lot more class, especially from a driver who should know better. It solidifies my already held belief that the guy is a class A jerk, that cares only about himself and his precious image.

This is possibly dumbest post I have read.
Verstappen walked away on his own. He is not dead. Precautions were taken, and the race moved on.

You take a 51 G shunt and let me know if it’s still a dumb post. Brain injuries can take hours to manifest themselves. People can slip into a coma long after a severe car accident. There was simply a much classier way to behave.

You are 100% correct. Sounds like the usual LH apologists said something daft. Ignoring them is easy.

Your opinion , I don’t agree with it and it is a waste of time elaborating as Hamilton can do no right on this board .

I didn't hear from Lewis post-race interviews on anything having to do with Max's well-being.

It was the usual scripted messages that we have all heard.....

Be thankful to Hamilton who gave you a reason to add another layer of scorn to your contempt for him.

I suppose this is part of your therapy, right?

    Feeling better now ?

It can take hours for injuries of any accident to manifest themselves, so given that there are accidents every race, you gonna condemn nearly every podium celebration?

Are you then pleased with Hamilton's post race behavior? Even if he was unaware of Max's hospital visit, doesn't it seem a little tone deaf?

If Max is suspected of having a concussion, he should not be watching any screens. Brain needs to rest. No stimulus

Then his team should’ve had the brains to notify him to act with some restraint, as your fellow driver is in hospital.
This post mentioned nothing about Hamilton’s driving or fault of the incident etc. It was a racing incident that occurs. The point of the post is that I felt his behavior was self centered and was tone deaf. He had a perfect opportunity with Jensen Button to say, “first off let me say I hope Max is ok, because that was a big one” etc etc. He didn’t because he doesn’t care, it’s all about Lewis and always is. Maybe that’s a good trait for becoming an F1 champion, but I certainly wouldn’t want to be in a fox hole with the guy, or have him as a friend. And Lewis got his ass handed to him the last 4 or so races

The problem is that with all the money, the fame, and the lack of risk for their lives F1 drivers have become so detached from reality that for them this is like a videogame.

Lewis asked if Max was OK over the radio....what was said in the pits we don't know. Did LeClerc ask if he was OK? Where's your scorn for his behavior?
