    has anyone seen any actual comparison tests to see how it compares to its fellow litre bikes?
    seen a few drag runs but there is much more to a bike than going in a straight line.
    how does it perform on the track among st its peers?

    I like bikes, and I like fast bikes, but this thing seems more like an exercise in what is possible other than a next logical step in superbike progression. I don't really have a problem with this, either. Its a beautiful bike and its nice to see a major manufacturer doing something a little different. But its hard to argue that the current crop of superbikes is underpowered. As far as superbike progression goes, something like a seamless gearbox would make more sense. But on balance, I'm glad they keep making stuff like this for those rare people looking for novel ways to pull their arms off.
