I love the F355. I think its the prettiest Ferrari to date. But I always figured that my dream car would have gullwing doors. Has anyone seen gullwing doors on a Ferrari? I'm not talking abt those lambo doors, I'm talking abt the ones u find on a Delorean.

Can gullwing doors be put on a F355? And would it look good with them??

355 is not a car for those doors. Plain and simple. It's doable as noted with enough $

So true! No matter how weird, sick or outrageous something might be......most of the times somebody has already thought of it, and done it already!!

That picture of this Ferrari limo reminded me of a Countach limo someone had done in the late 80's or early 90's. They stretched the Countach and installed 3 scissor doors on each side!! It was hideous!!

IMHO that's just ghetto. If you want a Gullwing, then get a proper Gullwing. But hey to each's own.

Get an Enzo, that's the closest you'll get on a Ferrari.

As a former Delorean Owner, I can tell you the gullwing doors are not all they are cracked up to be. Yes it's fun for a while but, it's a little bit of a pain closing and it is claustrophobic because the windows on the Delorean only cracked open a maybe 6 inches or so. Because the door was curved, a full window could not be installed at the time of production. I bought my Ferrari 348 because it was convertible. I absolutely love the open air feel. I also like the traditional door opening. The gullwing doors are a little bit hard to align and they required new pistons all the time but the main opening force was a specially engineered torsion bar that was hard to find and expensive. I suggest you take a Delorean for a spin for a while then make your decision. Don't get me wrong, it was a great, fun car.

I've owned a DeLorean for 13 years now and never had any problems with it, the doors close perfectly ...

It all depends on what you want: if you like gullwingdoors, buy a DeLorean, a Bricklin or a even a Mercedes 300SL or newer SLS. But - in my opinion - you don't put gullwingdoors on a car that wasn't meant to have gullwing doors on it in the first place, it looks ridiculous. Look at all those 'tuning-guys', they put special doors (gullwing-, butterfly- or scissordoors) on everything they can lay their hands on. It looks stupid in my opinion and it isn't very handy either ...

I'm more interested in how you intend to fit the 8" diameter exhaust on your 355?
