A friend of mine in NY has 8 400i .. . Not sure if any of them are in perfect shape.

I love the 365 GT4 2+2 too . Love the whole atmoshpere of this car. Noise, smell, touché..

And I thought I had it bad.

There was a 400 5 speed that was floating around the web for $15k or so. Good thing I didn't have time to go look at it last month when I was stateside, I'm running out of room as it is.

 

hell, if the dino's sell at the top end of the estimate, i would be shcoked. there aren't even any cars here in the us for that asking price (all are higher).

the daytona wagon isn't properly described. i know of at least one owner here in houston that isn't mentioned when they brag about it being a four owner car. i also know that the conceptualization wasn't by chinneti, but by gittleman.

 

You need that many to keep one running?

On a more serious note: Has anybody been to this auction? Can one just walk in from the street and watch the auction or is it for VIPs only?

 

What is the exchange rate of Swiss Francs to Dollars?

I wouldn't mind any of the lots listed - except the dinos, I don't fit in those...

Most auctions require some sort of bidder registration, bank info, etc. prior to the event...

If you were registered you could participate via phone, I'm sure......

 

Or course, attending THIS one in person would have the advantage of getting some fine snow skiing done at the same time....

I don't want to bid, I'm merely interested in looking at the cars and wonder whether they wouldn't allow that for non registered folks.

Like most auctions it's accessible by buying a catalog. Or at least that's what I think. I have only visited it as a member of the press, so I'm not positive. We will be there again this year on Friday morning.

Alrighty. I ordered my catalog and made my room reservation. It's a bit like going to the USGP: Almost all hotels in town are sold out.
