Someone went all the way to the factory and forgot to take pics of the front? Looks to have a beefier hood than the standard 458. I see Speciale or Challenge interior. Centerlock wheels. Hoodpins = track car only most likely.

 

Strange they have it just laying around uncovered. I want to see the car as bad as the next guy but you would think they would let Greg be a part of the big reveal if there is one. I figured he would end up showing it on his Instagram before anyone else. Even if this is a track only car I bet you we will see it on the street at some point.

 

Some say Gregb23 will reveal the car for his 100k followers achievement!

I'd rather say it's a LaFerrari TEST MULE but it could have been so even without the KERS system.

 

Yes, correct. Prototype/test mule...that's what i believe it is and will be once fully unveiled

 

Can't wait! I'm even more excited than for the new F152M.

 

You can see all the orange cables in the picture. It seems very likely to have the KERS system.

 

I think we are agreed a KERS LF mule. I was told that a number of mules had been sold but were in a terrible state and so the Factory were tidying them up. Maybe this could be the ultimate example of 'tidying' with a bit of financial help from Gregg? They could not be used on either road or track. Road I understand, track, why bother to test?

 

Car is matte black, but engine bay on this one is grigio silverstone? Where's the fluid bottle on the right? Hmmmmmmmm. Lots of other differences. Not the same car.

Again...I have no knowledge of whether this has anything to do with the thread's subject, but apparently this design was patented in August of 2016, according to the article. Wouldn't that be a bit late for a LaFerrari design prototype?
