"Genesis does What NintenDON'T!" I busted out the Sega Nomad portable Genesis for a road trip, taking me back to 1992. I have a few cartridges including a few Sonic games, but thinking it's time to get a few more on eBay. Ideas for best games to buy? I'm thinking: Super SF2 Streets of Rage 2 MK II Earthworm Jim Virtua Racing
Ecco the Dolphin is the only game I remember playing. That and Aladdin I had/have an Nintendo Edit: OH YEAH...ROAD RASH was super fun
Hah, thanks Ryan. I am now watching some You Tube vidoes on some of these classics. 2nd time today. This day is jam packed with nostalgia
For sure. I've been saying for a decade now that I'd like to have a vintage video game collection, and just recently figured I'd start piecing it together slowly. Got an NES for Christmas. Had a Genesis for a while, but it was packed in a box for a few years. Got that out. Now, looking for other systems and games. If anyone's looking to get rid of an old system or Genesis games collecting dust, drop me a PM!
Definitely agree with MK II, Earthworm Jim and Viruta Racing. I'd add Skitchin' and Madden '95. It's been way to long since I sold my Genesis I can't really remember the games I had.
Been playing hellfire for 17 years now..love it's 4 way shooting action. Final zone too. Subterania is difficult to master but worth the effort. Got my 7 and 8 year old nephews addicted to the original madden football game too.
Here's a good list: - Strider - Ghouls n' Ghosts - Street Fighter II - Mickey Mouse and the Castle of Illusion - Out Run - Dynamite Heady - Mickey Mania - Forgotten Worlds - Space Harrier II - Michael Jackson's Moonwalker (silly fun) F355 was on the Dreamcast, 2 Sega systems after the Genesis.
The Sega Genesis was the first and last game system I ever bought. NBA Jam Space Harrier Earthworm Jim California games Sonic Super high impact Hard drivin' X-Men NHL hockey Shinobi Side pocket
I was thinking of a game maybe called Beast wars but I think i might be the one FarmerDave mentioned, Altered Beast.
Desert Strike and Jungle Strike are both still fun to play. The six button control stick if you can find one is a must for both.
I was playing some PS3 earlier and saw on the PS Store a Sega Genesis collection..Googled it and found this: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=10660527&sourceid=1500000000000003142040&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=10660527
I had a SNES which was better than the Genesis . Kidding aside I would say the following were stand out games on the the Genesis. 1. Sonic 2 2. Fantasy Star 4 3. Flashback 4. X-Men If we're counting the Sega CD I would say Sonic CD, the Lunar series and Vay were good.
The two holy grail games of the genesis are Herzog Zwei and thunder force 3. Both cost more than a genesis system now. Thunder force 3 is awesome and i still can't fiqure how herzog works. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herzog_Zwei
