    What is the difference between the two cars? I'm a Maserati noob and was just looking at the site but the two cars looked the same to me.

    I drove both cars on the track at the maserati GT course and the Grandsport, simply put, handles better than the coupe. less body lean, lower to the ground. I found myself taking turns more confidantly and faster with the Gransport.

    The exhaust note is a different as well, closer to a tubi but still not as loud.

    I didnt like the interior of the specific gransport I drove, but I think there are quite a few options available now. Certainly moreso than when they first introduced the gransport.

    The GranSport is the Superior Car.The Sports Exhaust System is designed by Tubi.

    The tubi that comes with the grandsport is not as deep as a tubi bought seperately. I personally didnt think it was as loud either.

    For the interior - it has a different center AC/Radio area (Not sure what to call that?), gauges, and the car is loaded with carbon fiber trim. It's also available with BrighTex sport mesh as the secondary interior tone. Our car has Cuiuo (spelling?) primary (A very, very warm tan) with BrighTex sport mesh. I personally prefer the cars with the dual leather.

    The GranSport has about a 10hp difference, and a Tubi-designed exhaust.

    The interior is a bit different as well. The GS steering wheel is the best designed piece I have EVER wrapped my hands around. Absolutely marvelous.

    Torque curve reaches its peak at lower RPM than coupe, as well. I recall about 800 RPM, but can't confirm that.

    Unclear statement on my part. 800 rpm lower peak than before, NOT 800 rpm total!!

    Actually the grill is the same shape/size as the 05 coupes which also pick up the revised front and rear bumpers, but the GS has a lower front spoiler under the bumper. Not sure about the hood?

    Also taller 6th gear, top speed of 180MPH vs 177MPH.

    I chose a coupe with 05 vintage pack because I was looking for a "classic look" rather than carbon fibre everywhere and aggressive exterior styling. I do love the exhaust note of the GS though.

    Also the GS has faster shifting than the coupes.

    I thought, because of the bodywork, the GranSport weighs more than the Coupe as well?

    From the NA Maserati site....

    Coupe = 1580 kg = 3483 lbs

    GS = 3476 lbs

    So even with the bodywork the GS is slightly lighter.
