Hi all. First and foremost I hope you are all well and safe.

There has to be a couple 812GTS in the wild by now. Has anyone heard one scream and if they can comment on the sound? To complicate matters I believe the early GTS models do not have GPF but ones built after a certain time are fitted with GPF.

I have a 812 GTS on order because I find the sound is a defining factor in a Ferrari. I’m hoping this won’t be a let down.
My heart can’t take absence of a manual transmission and the sound of a Dyson.
    Thanks.

    Really?
    I've heard of no deliveries.
Not even press cars or dealer demos here in US, which are usually months ahead of first deliveries.
So how do you arrive at this conclusion?

I was invited to see the car today. Car was Grigio GTS with the brown interior and equipped with GPF. The dealer started the car and you could tell the exhaust note was slightly muted. They didn’t rev the engine as the car was inside. Dealer says factory will reopen next week and they think the factory will not shut down in August. I spec’d a car and put my deposit down. Cars will show up late this year. Mine will be a 2021 model year and arrive 1st quarter of next year. No news on the VS version.

I’ve seen a few different specs floating around Instagram in Denmark and other European countries as well as the road show cars. Not many but a good handful.

Yes, GPF is the law since 1 January 2020.
Check all the other threads and you can learn a lot about this.

The answers are clear, and they are not the answers we want to hear.

I searched and read all the threads.
Seems at low rpm the sound is a bit muffled. I don’t see anyone giving an opinion at the high end of the rev range if someone could enlighten me and end the chain.

Maybe so, but I have yet to hear anyone claim that there is at least a chance that it will sound as good or better in the higher rev ranges or under load.

I had a chance to compare a GTS with a GPF and a SF without side by side . You can’t compare them at idle : GTS is muted and SF is roaring . As soon as you rise rev GTS is getting better coming out with a certain sound but still a sound muted compared to standard SF

Yes I believe the comment about learning from all the other threads also applies to Pista owners

I have had mine for about a month now. They supposedly used the TDF X pipes on the GTS. To me the exhaust is better. I put a Tubi on all of my cars and with that it sounds even better.
