Less than a mile from your location.

There is a nice Mexican Restaurant.
    West on Central to Bowers.
    North or Right on Bowers.
    Stay on Right lane.
    Go over 101 Fwy.
At first street on right, make right.
    Right on Freedom Circle.

Otherwise, head north on San Tomas Expressway to Montague.
In the Rivermark Plaza will be Piatti Ristorante.
    About 1.5 miles from you.

    There's an Irish Pub/Grill

    Bennigan's Grill
    4150 Great America Pkwy
    Santa Clara

    And a steakhouse

    Birk's

The first two are midrange, Birk's is a little more upscale.

If you're with a client, I'd go with Pedros above. Bennigans is nice but its too noisy to talk a lot of the time. If you go to Pedros, get the fried ice cream for dessert :)

Go to "Birks", it's a nice upscale joint, you can talk, and food/wine seleccion is great. Besides, if your client is buying, I wouldn't hesitate...
