I need new tires for my STi, the guys I used to have do the mounting are gone. I typically buy from tire rack for convenience...who is decent for tire mount / balance besides Tire Rack?

You will have an opportunity to meet and have your tires mounted by a person who makes mounting and balancing tires - properly - his single mission in life.
Seriously, having tires mounted and balanced at Roux's Garage is a religious experience.

Its an old school two man shop. Father and son I believe. With exception to the latest and - state of the art - mounting and balancing equipment, the rest of the shop looks like it hasn't changed in the past fifty years.

This place is a real asset to those of us who live near by. They are absolutly meticulous. They have a golden reputation in the area for being almost too over the top.

They are listed on the Tire Rack website.

Id drive two hours to go there.

I usually use Town Fair Tire in Rocky Hill. I pick the tires up at Tire Rack up in South Windsor and bring them down to them. They have done tires on my old Hummer, Corvette, and the Audi with no problems.

Capozi's has the high speed load balancer and I had them do the tires on the TR. I know Rocco had problems with them breaking a valve stem, but I have never had a problem with them.

Well I'm sure you guys remember my experience with Capozi's but in case you don't it involved a wheel falling off while driving it.

I do recall that and was the reason I took the wheels off the TR myself and brought them over to them. They still have the best balancer in the area and the only place that could get the vibration out of the TR rims.

Good idea, bring them and have them balanced then mount them yourself.

Sorry still have to recommend Capozzi's for their equipment if nothing else, they have the ability to Proper Balance and Mount all large exotic car type wheels. Just double check your lugnuts yourself......

Thanks for the replies guys; Now who can shovel to get me access to the shed in the back yard where the wheels are? :D

Tires are here! I'll call Capozzi's...maybe I'll have them fix some curb rash too...
