Last week i wrote a letter to the second owner who owned the car for 16 years and today i got a call from him! Really nice guy and he told me that he ordered the Scuderia shields at the moment he bought the car in 1996 and it was done from a real metall master and they ordered a pair original F40 shields for the project. At least it cost incl. paintwork 20.000 Chf… Wow!!! But not enough, he collected all the papers, bills and history from the car and all that is on the way to me! Unbelievable! I´m so happy to complete the history with all that paper work! He is a real Ferrari aficionado, drive 458 spider at the moment and owned a F40 and 275 GTB before but it was the 512 TR which seems to be really loved to stay at least 16 years in his stable. And not enough he offered me the brand new 4-pieces luggage set! It is the brown version and i already have the black briefcase for the back luggage compartment but i should go with this set because it was owned from a pre-owner and it´s in new condition. I will post pics when the papers arrived!

Little exhaust upgrade. Like the US version the CH version come from factory with 4 pre cats. I will change to EU specifications. Does anybody make this conversion? I´m not sure with the lambda sensor. If i look right the US version have the sensors directly behind the pre cats and the EU version have them in the main cat. But to be honest, i didn´t look at the car yet, perhaps it is plug and play!
the sensors have to be before the cat ( may be in the cat but before the ceramic ), only newer cars have also additional sensors after the cat
Congratulations on getting a real "Ferrari", its a great car and you have got yourself a really clean car. Well done, enjoy it for many years to come. If i would suggest one thing, that is a nice unique upgrade to the interior is the metal "chrome" gear from the F512M. I agree with the remarks, these cars are really one of the best ferrari's made and my F512M is my favourite ferrari that I have owned. I sold my Ferrari FF and I still have the F512M.
Thanks! @Romano: I thought of two sensors each cat because the pic above looks like that there are sensors after the cat.
could it be that you mean with the sensors after the cat the thermocouple sensors for the temperature?
it depends on driving. if you go mostly with a little more than idle you will not get more oil temperature. also it takes some time until the engine oil will get warm. the water temperature is soon at about 90 °C, then the thermostats open. but even with hard driving I never get more then 95 °C, only when standing then and running in idle the temperature will raise to about 105 °C but soon cool down again also.
