He saves the good stuff for the Subscribed Threads, as this is child's play. However, that raises a point: Allegedly, all Threads he was going to create in 2011 were to be in Rossa. BUT, several seconds of Research has determined he started a few in Silver, which means he not only broke vow of silence on this thread, but trampled on earlier vows elsewhere. Witch! Witch! No man... I'm not jumping him. (psst he jumped me) I'm just saying that the reason this thread got to 80 pages is that once it took off everyone just wanted their name in lights. I realize that this is a community and this was the topic of the day.. I'm not saying anyone is wrong or evil or nothin'.... just saying the signal to noise ratio is off the charts.... knowhatImean?
If I want "my name in lights" I sure as **** won't do it in THIS thread.... It'll be in Silver or Rossa or Owner's Forum, in a thread of my own. Been there done that. As far as I'm concerned, you are just a troll trying to stir the muck. Go back to Jalopnik. You don't know me, you don't know F-Chat.... you really have no clue. We have a sort of humor here that you clearly don't get.... and if you had ANY clue about me (which you wouldn't, because you are not subscribed), you'd clearly know I generally DO NOT get involved in heavy disputes - this one included. Slurp my butt. Jedi
Now, now, kids - - 430 man only had things to say about *this thread's subject* until you know, now - - just let it be.
wow wow wow.... the guy wanted to know what happened in the last 50 pages and I told him that the meat could be covered in one paragraph and the rest was fluff... ...er does anyone disagree? No reason to stomp on the new guy cuz he states something even Ray Charles could see. And he's blind. And Dead. ;-) lighten up man, life's too short.
So 430Man.... why not just fill in your profile, and start exploring MORE of Ferrari Chat? What's the fascination with this one single thread? There is a LOT HERE. This thread is a WASTELAND - it's devolved to humor and silly jokes. Don't you see that by now? For a mere $15 you can up to Silver, where the true "social life" of F-Chat really begins... We don't even know your name... that's in the "Profile" part... My point has always been that F-Chat is a LOT MORE THAN THIS ONE THREAD. This thread is an ABERRATION here... far from the "norm". I apologize for "calling you out"... not my style. Sorry for that. And I won't close with "Slurp my butt" as much as I might like to. Jedi
I work for a large insurance company on the auto side. I have sent a link to a couple managers that work this area with a link to both the thread and this post.
Sadly I do. ;-) I'm not much of a joiner. Normally I just lurk. You're more of a 'center ring' kind of guy. Nothing wrong with that, it's just not me. OH, before I forget... why my fascination with this thread? Go read my first post. I have a background in airplane accident investigation. Now you're probably thinking about figuring out why a 737 crashed and killed everyone of board... but the truth is those are the exceptions. That's not what I did. Hundreds (thousands?) of private planes go missing every year. The first part of the job is to determine if it was stolen, or crashed, or if the owner owed money to mob and took off etc etc etc. If a private pilot crashes in a lake was it suicide or did the plane malfunction? Or run out of gas? Or wind shear? It's a merger of PI, psychology, engineering and piloting. So... ya see why this thread caught my attention? I gotta know how the story ends. ;-) BTW - Most missing planes are found safe and sound somewhere with an innocent explanation... we found one just this week on the Italian Riviera. ;-) ok I'll go back to (mostly) lurking now.
But why? There's an aviation section (don't have to be subscribed to see it even!)... your insight would be very much welcome there. We have discussed LOTS of aviation incidents over the last couple years - you might have the insight to clarify things from time to time. I know you say you're not a "joiner" - I understand that. I'm a salesman and a "people person" so yes, it's natural that I'd be a joiner in a group like this - I own a Ferrari, have a goofy sense of humor, and know a few things.... a perfect fit for Ferrari Chat. But it really does all begin socially in Silver - I know Tillman and Kieran and others bug me for being a "cheerleader" for subscribing, but I'm just saying it's a really fun and "community based" place once you're in Silver and above. I never meant to spar. I'm sorry. Give it some thought... with your background, I really think you could be a really good asset here if you joined the gang. Jedi
If I stick around, I'll join no doubt. But my time is is extremely limited. I will say I have learned A TON lurking here. (just not on THIS thread. lol) My next car will be a project car with my son. I haven't even changed my own oil in decades and recently realized that 1) An appreciation of a fine car can never be complete if you've never taken one apart and rebuilt it. (or similar) and 2) that knowledge and experience is something I want my son to have. So to the extent that project will benefit from time here, I'll be sure to spent it here... there is a ton of information. thanks.
WE HAVE A WINNER! (oh man, I just woke the whole house laughing... dude I literally have tears in my eyes. Brilliant.)
yes and no. Owner says yes, witness says no. Both have claims of video footage supporting their individual testimony.
