Guys I am just devastated. I cannot believe my luck. The car was stolen right out of my garage here in Dallas. GONE IN 60 SECONDS! I have been home sick with the flu for about a week. Saturday I went to the grocery store and came straight home. That was the last time I drove it and the last time I seen it.

It's a 3 story townhouse with nothing on the first floor but a 2 car garage, utility room, bedroom and bathroom...2nd story is living, kitchen, dining, office...and 3rd story is the master.

Sunday afternoon I went down to the garage to take the trash out and my door was raised and car was gone!

The police were notified, but I don't know how serious DPD is about hunting down stolen cars. I haven't heard anything and the cars been gone, I'm guessing since Saturday night at some point. So two days and it hasn't turned up. I don't know what to think.

A friend of mine and fellow 348 owner both agree the car had to be rolled out and down the block. There aint NO WAY they started the car anywhere near the house...Tubi with straight pipes...IT AINT POSSIBLE! Had to be professionally done which means the car is probably already been chopped.

I'm just sick and tired of my luck with cars. It's not fair for one person to have to endure such bad times. I am even thinking about bowing out for a little while. Sick.

Anyway keep your eyes peeled for black 348 parts on Fleabay.

Wow! Very sorry to hear this Tony.

Perhaps you should post up some details like VIN and anything "unusual" that
would be clues when / if it shows up in the market.

    My condolences.

really sorry to hear this Tony, best of luck with the recovery.

In 10 years of DFW FCA and FerrariChat I haven't heard of a single Ferrari stolen. Maybe they are starting to realize the value of parts?

Well, the F50 Test Drive, and that Gizmondo guy..........but that's about it.

I joke about mine they'd return it when it needs Service, but it sounds like Tony was 'staked out' somehow....his insurance agent is gonna quit taking his calls......

Sorry to hear this. Provided you're adequately insured, I hope the car is chopped. It sounds mean but trust me--it won't ever be the same in your mind if you get it back. I know because I learned the hard way. I had a car stolen from my driveway and the cops found it a few days after I got the payout. I was so glad I had cashed the check. The car was repairable but it would always be tainted to me. I did take my $ and buy the same car, brand new.

    Here's the VIN# ZFFRG43A2S0099567

I don't have a side door just the main garage door. The door is in need of replacing and coincidentally had a garage door repair service out this past week. Lots of compliments and questions about the car, but nothing out of the ordinary...we all get that everywhere we go and it's always the same questions...what year? model? how fast is it? what's it worth? how many miles? blah blah blah...didn't think nothing of it really till I was talking to Jarrett, but then it hit me. They are the only one's who knew the door was bad and a broken door opener.

...Of course I have a high volume of traffic down my street and everybody knew what was in the garage. I dunno, but I'm pissed, sick, and just flat out of gas with cars. I don't even feel safe in my home anymore and ready to just say Fitall

My suspicious meter goes went up when you told the garage door repair service story...

I wonder if somebody told somebody and voila...

Because I doubt it's your neighbor who knew about your car that stole it.

This was not a spur of the moment theft.

I fear that your insurance will take a really, really big hit this time, two expensive cars totalled and one stolen.

My sincere wishes that you get things to work out... somehow.

Sorry to hear about your bad luck.

I would check with the Auto Theft division of the DPD to see if there is a common MO with cars being stolen after garage door service or replacements.

This is exactly what Tony and I talked about yesterday. It would be extremely *random* for someone to go down the street trying to manually open garage doors one by one and just *happen* to find a broken door, and also just *happen* to find a Ferrari inside it. And then to *not* enter the house to see what else might be inside... IMHO, this was a targeted theft.

Tony, you'll regret not getting back onto a horse. But maybe you should give the 348s a break... :D:)
