Does Ferrari have a color code for the gold color used on the wheels of classic race cars like the 330 P4 or 512 S, or more recently for the 430 Scuderia?

I think making a call to the dealer would be a good option to get the exact code as there is less info regarding the wheel color codes on the internet.

Might be worth asking the guys on the Vintage thread? Its a great color by the way "dusty gold" would be my non technical description ;)

may be wrong but I've heard the gold color wasn't paint but the color of the magnesium after it oxidized or the color of a coating to prevent oxidation

    Jim,

I went through this a while ago. I made many calls without really getting a definitive answer. Two had mentioned Cadillac Engine Gold from the 60-70's. I couldn't find a paint code for CEG. Bought 2 different samples online. Chose the one that subjectively looked better. We took that to the automotive paint store and came up with PPG DU25386 Goddess Gold Poly.

After all that explanation, I know mine are not the correct color, but like the looks of them. If the Fchat gang came up with the proper color, I'll possibly repaint. They have a bit too much shine also.

i do hope you are more successful than I in finding the correct color.

    Bill
