On my way back from Poland, I will be taking an 8hr layover in Frankfurt, I have already arranged rental of a 6spd bmw 1series for the few hours I am there. Anyone know the best highway I can get on to just floor it?

    My advice:
Drive from Frankfurt Airport carefully & save to the Nürburgring.
    Distance 100 miles 1h30m.
Enjoy one of the most exciting tracks of the world "Tourist-Drive", or get a passenger drive
in a real race car with Sabine Sch. (24h VLN driver).
Drive carefully & save back to Frankfurt Airport.

Most parts of the german "Autobahn" are with speed-limit. 80km/h, 100km/h or 120km/h.
There are few parts without any speed limit - but lots of traffic, impossible to speed or have some fun.

If we want to speed, check the top-speed:
Only sunday, early in the morning, between 07:00am - 10:00a.m.
No trucks, the drunken disco kids are already at home, very less traffic, family drivers with kids are still at breakfast.....

Take care & enjoy the drive.

Thanks for the track idea, but the girlfriend is with me, and my layover is only 8hrs. So I must stay in Frankfurt and the surrounding area

I don't know where you'll be in Poland but the new A2 motorway from Warsaw to Beriln is reasonably empty and perfect for high speed(ing). Much more so than anything near Frankfurt which if I remember right is mostly restricted to 120 km/h and closer to NJ Turnpike than an unrestricted speed fest.

I am in Wroclaw, using the grandparents fiat here, so speed isn't an option lol. But the new motor way is very nice that they built here
