To answer Simon's questions from another thread...why the GT-R? Name another car that does 0 to 60 in 2.7 secs, over 315kph, seats 3/4 and their luggage, happily daily drives, sounds good, looks individual and costs under $130k as a 4 year old used car? Easily as fast on a GG type run as cars costing 2, 3, or 4 times as much. I love it.

I thought that would be the answer but how does it compare with the same age Euro price and performance wise ie M series Beema,Benz AMG or Black (or whatever their hottest one is)? .....and would you mind answering the other thread re Euro depreciation.........thank you.

In between GT-R's as daily drivers I've had..Audi RS4's, C63 Benz's, V8 M3's, Carrera coupe amoung other stuff like M235's, Golf R, etc etc and yet I took Horse on 6 GG's. That says it all to me. What was the other question?
Well said, bang-4-buck, cannot be beat, must be the "Jap Crap" a huge idiot once said.... If you want a bit [ok a lot] less outlay but still satisfactory performance then Sti or EVO, might meet your needs Pity we lost Supra, 3000GT, RX7 etc
No. The platinum award is given to the car for it's condition on the day of judging. If it happens to be neglected afterwards, so be it. As for removing it's 'Platinum' status, No as well. It would have won it for it's condition at the time, not for future condition. Regarding the judging and best in show, the 'Platinum' cars, have the ability to win a platinum award each year, as long as they are maintained to the platinum standard. There will also be a best in show award. If I am incorrect, Ian may be able to clarify.
Best in show is the highest scoring car. If there are 2 or more cars with equal scores, the judges make a call based on "elegance". e.g. a showroom fresh 488 will never beat a pristine 275. The system works, witness the perfect 328 that won outright at the VIC rally.
Thanks. I think. Isn’t that what I said? Admittedly you were more eloquent Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
