    Robbie,

Thanks for setting this up. It was a great day, especially for a freezing cold winter day like today.
Those karts are hard to make go any faster. 60 laps is a lot of driving!
Jennifer, thanks for taking all the pictures.
    Good to see everyone.
And, I'm sorry I blasted into a few people during the racing.

Count me in for next time.

Bummed that I missed this one. I just got back into town around 5:30 and thought about stopping by on the way back from the airport. Wished I had now even just to catch the end. What kind of times were people posting?

Thanks Robbie for all the time and effort putting this together. Congratulations to the Northern contingent who took home two trophys. Jim (JIMANGLE) for his first place in team B and Joe (Quicksilver) for his third place team A.On the way home we took a very nice tour of our nations capitol after talking so much in the car we missed the turn and ended up driving Rt 66 directly into DC. We then meandered through the center of DC and eventually found I-495 to I-95. It was a 3 hour trip home but we did see the Capitol building and the Washington Monument and stopped for some Thai food!! Thanks to Joe,Drew and Jim for their patients as I got hopelessly lost. Hey all,

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for being so hospitable and inviting... Robbie, Robert, Steve, Adeel, and of course Jen, for taking the pics (and the other friendly people whose names I don't quite remember at this time!)

This was my first meet with fellow F-chatters, and I had a blast! I even beat my own best time, with 26.1x seconds! Maybe I will break into the 25s next time!

For those who weren't there, here's how it went down:
    * We had 17 people, separated into 2 groups.
    * Each person had 1 qualifier, then 2 races of 20 laps each
    * After everyone completed the qualifiers, they were split up into 2 classes for the 2 races

    Here's how I did:
    * I qualified with a 27.xx time, and placed 8 of 8
    * In Race 1, I was placed 7 of 8 on the grid, because I qualified better than someone in the other qualifier group
    * I was able to pass a few people, and came in 5th of 8 in Race 1, but my best lap time was actually the 3rd best in that group!
    * In Race 2, I was in the 4th position of the grid, but I got knocked out in the first lap!
    * Somehow, I managed to fight my way up a few positions and came in 6th.
    * ... but, my time was still the 4th best in the group this time..
    * ... and best of all, I got my best lap of all time: 26.1x seconds !! :D

As you can see, I really enjoyed myself... and oh yeah, I took a few pictures outside. The daytime ones are clear, but the nighttime ones are kind of blurry. I'll post them when I get a chance!
