New to the Maserati side of this. Looking at a 2019 certified Ghibli SQ4. Any thoughts from the knowledgeable on things to look out for, any issues with 2019? How much confidence in the certification process. According to the dates, this one looks to be certified until June 2026.

    Thanks,

    Jim

Maserati’s CPO is one of the best in the industry

I owned 2 Ghiblis. One of them was a 2019 model and I never had any issues with it (kept it 3 years, about 9,000 miles per year) and it was of course serviced as directed by Maserati.

A certified Maserati is the way to go, my 1st Ghibli (2016) was a certified model, no problems (the 2019 was brand-new). Their CPO program is good and gives you peace of mind. You can also do a PPI.

Thanks for the reply. I am working out the details on this one. I was under the impression that the original warranty is 4yrs and the CPO is another 2. The dealer is telling me only 1 year. Again, working out those details.
The car had dry rotted belts, leaking rear shocks, and a bad oil pressure sensor. All fixed on CPO. Indication of issues, or normal wear for a 5 yr old car?

CPO can be 1 or 2 years. 2 years is generally for recent vehicles (2022, 2023, 2024). Older vehicles may only get 1 year, but that could be negotiable (for a price).

I have not heard of leaking rear shocks before (recent Ghiblis). But if the CPO fixed it, then good. If you are not sure, do a PPI. How many miles does the car have?

Here’s one thing that overlooked. Maserati’s CPO is unlimited mileage.
