Getting some real wheels and tires on a 412...

    No the TR front wheels will not work. The 400i will accept wheels from a 308 but you need spacers- A Leventhal had a nice thread about his conversion. Compomotive can machine you a set of wheels to fit exactly- and any good wheel shop can work with you to measure the car and get something to fit. You can have wheel adapters made to mount any variety of wheels- I did the math a while back and found a half dozen BMW, MB and Volvo OEM wheels that are available on ebay for short money that could be mounted with relatively cheap custom wheel adapters.

    For me the TRX on mine are fairly fresh and the car performs great- I'm sure it would handle better with modern rubber but that's not really what these are all about-
