Seeing as we have approved the final sample and taken it through durability testing I seen no reason why not everyone should have their caps in hand by March reagardless of how remote a location they live in the world.
I was quite happy with my caps until I read this thread. Can I resist the urge to replace what is perfectly accepatble until a few days ago.
My experience has been that they EVENTUALLY go flying off, so you might as well by a matched set right now!

Speaking of parts projects, how is this one coming? Still looking for March 2013 availability? I would love two sets! Mark
Very true and for some customers when it comes to payment their 'month' can stretch out to several months. That said the production run is ordered and assuming that they pass QC as being equal to the samples we approved then caps will ship in March.
You're a true mind reader...started to type up that same request, then decided that Rob will let us know when it's settled.
Today I finalized our pricing with the maufacturer and worked out the retail price. As with many restoration projects this one went further than expected but we are offering more than originally promised too. Caps will now come with genuine 3M fixing tape die cut and pre-installed and each set sold will come with a special 3M adhesion promotor packet that vastly increases the quality of bond making the caps almost impossible to come off. Final pricing is as follows: Single cap: $35 Set of 4: $120 (includes 3M adhesion promotor packet which is enough to install all 4 caps) Caps will include detailed prep and installation instructions to avoid the runaway cap syndrome. We will post when the caps are for sale with appropriate links. This will not be until we have product in our hand ready to ship.
Geez...can't anybody take a little ribbing? I'm anxious for the perfect wheel caps to be available (from Rob) as part of restoring my wheel covers. It is now March, however...
Patience Grasshopper, all in due time, good things come to those that wait and wait and Regards, Alberto PS. Remember the "soup nazi" ? No wheel caps for you!
March has come and gone, April maybe???? I have some money in my pocket that is burning a hole. I think I have found the theme song for my wheel cap wishes: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=izQB2-Kmiic[/ame]
My shipment of wheel caps has arrived and I have been doing some durability tests over the last few weeks. I must say that they look spectacular but I am still experimenting with some different 3M tapes given the panic of runaway caps. I really want to make sure that I offer the best product I can. The bad news is that this is not my first priority and real life is getting in the way of me completing this project. Luckily the big steps are taken and I will try to complete this as soon as I can but I won't promise a date. I'm just too involved in other life projects that take precedence.
