I will wait for 2-3 years in before swapping my current F12.
Im counting on a lack of aggressive styling as the TDF is just way too childish. The front V12 needs to be elegant not agressive! Don't want drive around with strange 'aero flaps' and other sillyness.
+1 I'm not a fan at all however respect the car and the LE factor. I think F12"M" will be an update more than a completely different car; i.e. won't be the difference between the 599 and F12.....either way, I'll no doubt be buying one
As someone who has a current F12 on order my thoughts are similar to yours. I would never normally order last production run of a current model but I love the current F12 now as much as when I first saw it at Geneva 4 years ago. I especially think that the F12M will be priced up to 10% higher than the F12, which should keep F12 values steady. Good spec used F12s are still selling despite the seasonal lull and many don't even make the classifieds as dealers will notify interested customers of incoming cars in colours and specs they are keen on. Also the F12 will be the last pininfarina design. That might not mean much now when newer is generally perceived better but some years down the line it might be seen differently. Having said that I still think in a 'normal' market current early F12s should be cheaper but whilst people are paying £140k for a 599 that makes the F12 look fair value at 200k in my opinion. I also have myself on the list for the F12M but would not see my car delivered until mid 2018 so I have time to enjoy my F12 and decide whether to take the M. It will no doubt be an amazing car. I just hope it still has the balance of elegance and aggression of the current car. We'll know pretty soon!
This is exactly where I am, or I should say was. When I ordered my 2016 FF, I did have the choice to wait for the GTC4Lusso - although it was not known at that time what the "new facelifted FF" would look like. And since I knew it would have 4 tail lights, and I love that fact, I had som serious thinking and challenging decisions to make. I ended up with ordering my 2016 FF since I do love the current FF design over the GTC4Lusso (and please remember that is MY thoughts - you may very well have other feelings). So I did what one might never do: Ordered the last production of an outgoing model. I could not been happier - until the dealer had an accident in my brand new FF...
Spot on Justin, cars that are sticking are usually on small wheels with plain non carbon seats and moderate specs. I waited ages for a loaded car and my dealer had lots of interest even though reasonably well used (8000 miles 2 years). Just did a 450 mile trip in mine, fabulous. Even the hifi is half decent a Ferrari first. Happy motoring.
Good to hear you're enjoying yours Scraggy. I also noticed that the High Power Hifi option sounded better than than the one in my FF. Maybe the smaller cabin or speaker locations give it better acoustics but it sounded good to me and I'm quite fussy with my audio. Out of interest how are you finding grip in the current low temperatures? Are you finding yourself using Wet on the Manettino or still on in Sport etc?
