Ok, why do i have to have a Windows Live account to play a freaking brand new game i just bought?

I am NOT playing online, nor am i playing multiplayer. The damn game will not even let you save any progress without windows Live account ! This last part has me so mad i can barely type!

and yes, i tried to set up a new account, but Internet Explorer window keeps failing. i dont use IE, i use Firefox, i bet IE has never even been used to get on the net, since i built this machine 3 years ago.

if this is the way games are going, i am DONE. i will get a console system.

not only that, but i will go full Linux, and not anything else Microsoft, ever.

EB Games is going to get an earful about this. $50.00+++ dollars to preorder and receive another game, i cannot play.

    i am WAY pissed.

Yeap. Same issue with Bioshock1. They even limited the amount of times you can install the game on the PC b4 you have to call a number. Tho they have cut the DRM a lot since bioshock due to the amount of complaints with the securom BS.

It's nothing new, Steam has been doing this since 2004~ it all works now. Usually you only need to connect to the net once then go into an offline mode.

I know G4WL is broken at times. Have you tried using Chrome instead, I tried FF and it doesn't seem to work either :( but Chrome has no issues.

i should just keep it a few months and wait for the hacks to come out.

ps : **** 2k Games too for releasing it when its this bad.

You can set up an offline account and play I think. On one of the menu's when you start the game you can usually scroll down a little and find the option.

You can pretty much count on having these a few days...or weeks...before the game is actually released. :D

game was released on the 9th . i know these folks put lots of work into making these games, so i try to avoid downloads and cracks, but not being able to save the game because Windows Live does not connect or work is totally stupid.

i am 38 and spend big bucks on game crap when it suits me.

if these idiots want to stay in business they better listen to the people buying the damn games.

thank you for the help and the replies. going to try one more time later today.
