    Hi everyone,

I’m looking to buy a new soft top as mine has holes in it. OEM is too expensive and i’m looking to buy the best aftermarket version. Any advice? I have seen some good reviews on the GAHH soft top.

I would be happy to see some pictures on your aftermarket roofs with a little description on brand and how installation went etc.

    I used CK-Cabrio: https://www.ck-cabrio.com/shop-convertible-tops/ferrari-f430-spider-2005-2009/

Installed it myself but I have used GAHH many times in the past with great results on other vehicles. The main thing to remember is that most of the wear comes from the elastics that are situated in the headliner. Be sure to buy a new one when you get a new top. There are also some elastic parts that are never included in some of the installs and replacement options. Mainly the two rearmost sections that are responsible for pushing the center of the window back when folding. I think they're about $350 each new but can be replicated/repaired rather easily.

Thanks, I appreciate your input! Would you consider it a hard task for someone who is handy but haven’t changed cabs before? And between CK-Cabrio and GAHH, is it no significant difference in quality or stretch?

I believe the roof has had issues with certain components which caused damages, which have been solved but then they cheaped out on changing the actual soft top.

Most of the actual materials only come from a few of the same suppliers. So if you use CK-Cabrio or GAHH, it is likely you will be receiving the same material. However the patterns will vary slightly of course causing one to fit more or less tight.

As for if you can attempt it, you'll have to be the best judge of that. I have a full writeup here on the board although I admit it was a bit rushed at the end: https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/how-to-replace-your-convertible-top.672661/

Thanks, I will go for GAHH then as the price seems better at the moment. I will take a look on your write up, always nice to see and read in before hand

I used a GAHH top. It looks great and is a big update on the car.

I do a lot of diy and it’s not impossible to install but in my area a shop charges around $1200 to put it in so I had them do it. Worth it

Did it say green window tint in the description? I want to place an order but I have emailed them asking why it says ”With sewn-in green tint plastic window”

The plastic windows have a slight hue to them. It’s not green when you look through but it’s slightly noticeable from the side.

I didn't buy it directly since the shop supplied it. My new top does have the sewn in window. My impression was that the new window was less "green" than the old one, but it could have been because the old one was so exidized and worn out that it was more noticeable.
