I'm trying to identify this FXX. I saw it at Fiorano on 18 May, 2007. It is most likely also the FXX that Top Gear Magazine used for their issue celebrating 60 years of Ferrari. Noticable details that should help identify it are the small arial on the roof camera and the two small rear view cameras on the front fenders. I've looked through all my own FXX pictures and many on the internet, but haven't found any with these features. Any help is appreciated! They also made a video. I've looked at my pictures and the helmet of Dario Benuzzi can be seen, so it may have been the same day! And found two more pictures, now with Evo striping: https://www.netcarshow.com/ferrari/2008-fxx_evolution/1024x768/wallpaper_01.htm
You can see in the video at 0:10 that the rollbar design isn't the definitve design that were on production cars. So far I've only seen 139744 with this rollbar design but that doesn't mean there aren't any other car like this.
Hi Thomas, 139744 is also the earliest known chassis, correct? Is it possible that this FXX was kept by the factory for some years? Because I also found some pictures of the car being unveiled* by people like Montezemolo, Todt and Schumacher. Which makes it likely that it was a factory car. It would also explain the test drive by Benuzzi. And the small roof antenna might be for transmitting real time test data? Well, 139744 was to be auctioned at the 2007 RM Sotheby's auction at...Fiorano! That was the same weekend I spotted the FXX on Fiorano. The car was withdrawn from the auction and didn't appear in the catalogue either, so I never made the connection.
So has the FXX Registry gone underground? Only the usual suspects keep track now? For what it's worth, at the recent Nürburgring event there were three FXX Evo (one remained in the pits when I was there). I was disappointed there weren't more, I guess everyone runs a FXX K EVO now (there were many), but at least I got to see and hear them once in my life, even 20 years late to the party. Silver (white stripes) #58 Black (green stripes) #87 Red (white stripes) #53 Here they are in action:
There were always rumors that this particular car was road legal and Swiss registered. Sounds ludicrous to me but has anyone verified the claims? Image Unavailable, Please Login

Aren't there several road legal ones? Not even talking about edo competition, but about this one: On this one you can actually see added rear lights. And it sure gets driven! I don't think it passed UK/EU noise limits in this configuration though, but I've seen a rare video of the FXX with extra silencers and it is much quieter, which they must have fitted (or something similar) for the individual vehicle approval test.
this one is back in the XX Programme with its street part removed. Chassis 142162 now #54 in the Programme The other car which is Street legal is Chassis 145766 (Pearl White) The Edo Competition build is also back in the Programme for a long time.
Thanks for the info. So what brings you to the forum and this thread? You seem to know about these cars, can you help me with my technical question? Technical question about FXX (EVO) - open throttle on overrun? | FerrariChat
This is how 145766 started, back in 2006. Epic. Appreciate the detailed breakdown. Would have been incredible to see on the road but it sounds like it never took advantage of being legalized.
Still a few FXX representing at Finali Mondiali 2024. Silver #58 - again Red #53 - again Blue #60 Red #2 Black #87 - didn't see the number in the vid, but seems likely Red #71 Red #? - # not shown in vid Red #? - # not shown in vid White #? - # not shown in vid So most of the cars are now sitting in private collections gathering dust? Seems like a waste of a perfectly good track car.
Actually this black with green stripe was #75 and the white with red doors was #79. Will await more videos this week.
