Does any 458 owners out there with problems with the digitial fuel gauge? Ever since new, my car has never been on full gas tank. Or so I was told by the fuel gauge by 3 bars. I fill up the car to full and the filler always stop. I tried overfilling it and sure enough gas starts to overflow so I stop. But when I get back on the car, even with the gas tank full, the fuel gauge is only reporting 3 yellow bars from full.

Now I'm so confused if my gas tank is ever full! But the gas filler refuses to fill anymuch more. I am able to get around 85litres of fuel in. Is it suppose to be more?

And with average aceleration and enthusiastic drives, I am able to get around 300km/190miles only. Is that normal or way below the actual 458 driving range that some of you are getting a lot more out of it?

    Gosh this is weird.

My 360 and 430 did the same thing but I haven't noticed it yet on my 458.

I've had that on the 360, but not on the 430.

So no one else with 458 have similar problems? I even tried resetting the ecu by unplugging the car battery. Still the same.

Resurrecting and old thread here; my recently acquired 458 has this problem - brimming the tank I can not illuminate the last 'bar' on the gauge.
Is this normally? I'm getting around 200 miles before RED, and circa 70 litres of fuel.

BTW - using 95RON fuel (usually Shell) any advantage on using Super V-Power 98RON?
My AMG is quite specific about always using Super only

That would be a dealer fix I would imagine. This car drinks gas with a passion so I wouldn't feel comfortable having this issue. Let us know how it's resolved. I have not had that issue on my 2014. The guage just moves faster than I expected...lol

I went to my dealer with full tank, he checked the car with the diagnostic tool: fuel level 91%.The dashboard gauge reporting one yellow bar from full, it is normal.
Maybe level sensor problem inside the tank, but not sure
    For the moment no cure

I can easily do 400+ on a full tank but yes 85liters sounds right.

Had the same problem with my 2010 458 and the dealer replaced the sensor and problem solved.
