    Question: did the testarossa come with this cavalieri out of the box? Option? I see some TR that have it some that do not.
    I am unable to ascertain the truth on that.

    Cavallino - No. The previous owner of my car had installed one like in Sam's pic above, with fender shields and a chrome one in place of the factory flat black on the back of my car. I left the chrome one on my rear bumper, I think it looks nicer then the flat black one, but removed all the other stuff. A wise old ferrari owner on this site made reference to how many Cavallino's were present on the car when it left the factor and wondered why people seemed to add more of them :)

    Only the TR (=Testarossa) had a black horse at the back ...

    Didn't they all have a chrome one in the front ?

    Let us know please ...

    Mine doesnt have cavalino at the front either so i wasn't sure if it was original or not!
    Seems like no cavalino is how they came out;)

    Exactly, and the ones having both front and rear have them chrome while the testarossa's only horse is black.
    Many testarossa had silver horses installed when they where still recent cars (so authenticity was not a concern, for good or bad), just to mimic the newly introduced 512 TR, in the same way many testarossa got their side skirts and spoiler repainted from mat black to body color.
