Friends Coming To Town, Best Clubs in Hollywood?

    Don't know too much about the club scene in Hollywood, but looking to have a fun couple of nights next weekend with 2 of my closest friends and my girlfriend. Was thinking about starting the night early with dinner around 7 or 8 then heading out to party.

    Looking for some suggestions. Not looking to spend $1000 on bottle service, but we will be spending good money on drinks.

    Antony, any advice or heads-up?

    I enjoy the House of Blues on Sunset. They have a private dining area separate from the main club. It is a wonderful experience to be there for the first time (often times they have a DJ).

    Clubs in L.A. really depend on what type of night you want.

    If you want the "it" club of the moment, it's "Guys and Dolls".

    If you want the "it" bar, try Centro.

    If you're more down to earth and just want a good drink, Hollywood is back. Just walk down Cahuenga south of Hollywood Blvd., and you'll find plenty of good "hole in the wall" spots.

    OR, you could ditch Hollywood altogether and venture downtown. Downtown L.A. is slowly becoming a decent place to find a drink. Most Angelenos don't like it because the haul back to the west side or the valley takes forever from downtown. But there are some decent bars creeping up.

    Depends what night. Here is a line up.

    Monday: HWood, Madam Royal, or Teddy's
    Tuesday: Guys and Dolls, Madam Royal
    Wednesday: MyHouse
    Thursday: Guys and Dolls
    Friday: Crown Bar
    Saturday: PlayHouse and Empire
    Sunday: Hyde and XIV

    I can set you up at any of these places. Although a lot of the owners/promoters are good friends, it will be tough to do a bunch of guys. Tables are the easiest and I can set it up so its minimal cost. Most places are 2-4 bottles. I am sure I can set up for one bottle.

    Let me know what you wanna do and I can set it up. :)

    The Whiskey a Go Go
    The Roxy
    The Key Club
    The Viper Room
    The Rainbow is good for food and "Rock Star Spotting".

    All on Sunset and all in walking distance from each other. PLUS the Hustler Store is right in there.
