Free Registration ends Feb. 28th for 2011 FCRA Championship.

Due to the overwhellming response, (we are now over 60 cars registered for the 2011 series), free registration for the series closes Feb. 28th. Starting march first registration will be $500.00 for the season. A new car/driver may register and run the races at any time after paying this fee. For those registered before this date registration is free. Therefore if you have friends or buddies who plan to run please have them register now.

For registrants/FCRA members, sponsor decals and number plates are being printed now and will be sent out soon. The cost of these sponsor decal packages is high ($200.00), so please take car to deliver them to your team to have them applied to your car. Directions will be included. While these sponsor packages are not mandatory to race, they are mandatory for the accumulation of points and for monetary payment and valuable parts and goods provided by the sponsers. The amount of monetary benefit will depend upon the amount of cars running but we expect it to be in the thousands for each car.

John, you should start a separate thread for the first Sebring race, now that registartion is open. Looks like you definitely have delivered on your promises about the quality of the off track events!

One question - the Celebration Exotic Car info says that the race will be open "to all experienced (red group) drivers of Ferrari challenge cars (348, 355, 360, 430) who are registered for the track event." Does that mean that you don't need to have a race license or prior race experience to participate? Thanks.

We are going to issue preliminary FCRA licenses to those registered for the race. We will be announcing that criteria soon to the members.

Temporary licenses will be used by the FCRA after registration and after an application and evaluation by our Pro Driver, Guy Cosmo. These licenses can be issued prior to the event upon registration or the day of the event. Basically to aquire a temporary FCRA license you must demonstrate to Cosmo that you have some racing experience, either by a current or past held racing license by another organization body, or graduation from a racing school, or cleaparticipation and experience in our preliminary races, or after clearance by another pro coach recognized by Cosmo. Basically you must demonstrate to him that you have experience and competence to race safely.

Formal licenses will follow the temporary license.

We will also soon announce an FCRA racing school available to members.

The FCA criteria for the Watkins Glenn event has yet to be provided.
