Freddans Ferrari F430 Coupé 2008

My name is Fredrik, i'm pretty new to the F430 section… At the age of 29, (now i´m 31) after years of hard work and a lot of savings i Bought my first Ferrari (F355) in 2013. A red 35000 km car In great shape. Recently I decided to sell it to go for a F430…

Always been into cars as an hobby… I´m an retired Mountainbike rider I live in Sweden and for living i´m selling an italian bicycle brand Called Bianchi (work for Bianchi Sweden) also work as a part time fire fighter and as security guard. When I´m not work I Spend time with my beautiful wife, building on our house, just enjoying life in every way we can.

Ever since i was a little kid i love the lines of the F355, The Sound and That gated shifter feels perfect in every way. Last year i got the opertunety to test a F430 once and got confused pretty much right away – two completely different cars, Both with so much personality…
The thoughts on "moving up" to a F430 started to grow on me so… around a year ago I started to look around on the market meanwhile i save money and work even harder to get what I want…

Like when I started the search for my F355 I did a spec what I wanted… it looked something like this for the F430:

Color: red
Year: 2008 - 2009
complete service history (not need to be all done by authorized dealer but someone who has a good reputation)
Not to high milage (45 000 km max)
Interior: black
Brakes: ceramic
Equipment: as much Carbon fiber parts as possible (the more the better)

A plus if it had a capristo /tubi etc..or something other than original that´s a bit higher sound.

Im not a purist so please don´t hate me… I have full respect for those who want them all stock – they are beautiful cars in every way. I like to add some personality to it, aftermarket wheels, get it a bit lower etc.… just that last touch that lifts the lines of a Beautiful car. Did some minor work to my f355 and changed it so it whould fit my taste but it was always a opertunaty to go back to stock – all the parts where saved. Same goes for this one..

Before Ferrari I did some older VW golf mk2:s… 400hp in just 900kg car, also had one of very few mk2 cabriolets...

Anyway… here´s where my searching for my F430 begins…

Middle of January this year.. I was on a roadtrip selling bicycles…just outside Gothenburg I was visiting a shop…

On my way to the meeting, just beside the shop there was a car-company (not that big) with just 6-7 car surface…thru the glass I saw this F430…

2 hours later… meeting finshed… to ease my cuoriosity I visit the car shop and talked to the manager who was very polite. He gave me the keyes and let me inspect the car as much as I wanted…

The smooth round, aerodynamic lines slowly started to take control over me… pricetag was a bit over what I wanted to spend but at the same time… I did not wanted to have a cheaper one with lower spec or around the first generation either… A friend at the local Ferrari dealership advised me to buy a 2008- 2009 – they got better every year.. just as many cars do when a model live for several years.

So..I did what we probably all do....

Started to collect information for the F430, keeping an eye on the market if the drop or increase in value…etc.. mobile.de / swedish advertising you name it…

Funny thing… the mentioned car above got advertised recently so I drove 700 km to look at it again… and boy.. guess if I as dissapointed when i´ve got there… car looked like world war three… probably smashed underneath and in the front… seller claimed it was in super nice condition… I walked away after less than 10 minutes, felt beat down having high toughts on this one…

A week later… all forgotten and ready to rock n´roll again…

This time… had some luck.. I guess… almost just around the corner (120 km away) I find a really good looking car for sale… (way more expensive but an insane good condition) a 2008 red with black alcantara one-owner-car and just 20 000 km. sold new here in Sweden. Car had a great optionlist, a lot of CF parts from factory, servicehistory was spot on… drove to the company and talked to the manager…

My plans for her are basicly very simple...

Give her some nice stance with 20” Artisto Y5 Wheels or ADV1 5 series, lower it as much as needed, S-Line exhaust & Carbon fiber it up a bit more and where good to go.

gona install a C-TEK battery charger this weekend to exercise the battery during Winter.

I´ll post some interior pics up later today.

well... to honest... compared to the F355... that car i felt like i had total Control over in every way... a bit slower car with less surprises if you know what i mean (not a boring car in any way)
With the F430... don´t know if you understand this but... i feel like it just want to kill me.... simply can´t explain what a rush that gives!

Im a decent driver and never overestimate my capacity. Don´t like to go to fast but love the acceleration.

Capristo upphängning säger du... är original en dålig lösning som går sönder? hade tänkt beställa ett S-line innan våren kommer... den är alldeles för tyst idag. hörs inte alls när den kommer.

Agree... the looks of a 355 is stunning... bought mine at the right time and did a great profit on it.. meanwhile... i wanted a more modern car so i pulled the trigger.

is this mine? that looks like BBS LM:S (le mans)

 

ok, looked really old with those rims...

yepp - saw this car and called on it when bilmetro in falun advertised it for 795... what a steal i thought... it was only out an hour or so... and was already sold then.

shortly after, it got out again - priced a half million more... that sucked...
