Didn't see anything that wasn't derailed or super old, so let's talk scents. Here are some I have worn/wear/sampled. Like watches and wines, you can start collecting quite a few to suit your moods.
    • Fscking Fabulous by Tom Ford is pretty nice, smells classy, not sure I want it
    • Naxos by Xerjoff is now the smell of my home since the housekeeper knocked it over, still like it a lot
    • Montblanc Legend Spirit lays down well, classy, familiar, maybe a bit "old guy" but a boys night winner
    • African Leather is a stand out, apparently ladies really like it and after an hour or two it has a great smell
    • Aventus by Creed is pretty good, a guy's scent, but i need a tracksuit and neck chain to wear it?
    • Light Blue by D&G is nice but "showery" and fades fast
    • Sauvage is maybe one of the best, better than Light Blue, almost interchangeable but bolder, manly
    • Le Labo Baie 19 is a very light but classy one, the kind of thing that she wants to smell on the sheets when we cuddle the next morning.
    • Blonde Amber really needs to laydown a bit but it is really classy/unique.
    • Vanille Havane is warm, a winter scent, lots of tobacco, vanilla, cinnamon, tonka bean. it's nice, honorable mention, I like it for a boys night

    The hurt locker
    • Khanjar smells like pheromones they use in zoos to get captive jackals to mate. Highly offensive
    • Black Orchid by Tom Ford, very flowery and powdery, old lady smell, comforting though
    • Montblanc Explorer is too old for me, I can't pull it off
    • Dylan Blue, too common smelling, not as nice as Light Blue
    • Prada L'Homme, boring
    • Accento by Xerjoff is good but falls off the list compared to Naxos
    • Malesia by Xerjoff is forgettable

Been using Aqua Di Gio since the late 90's. Not too offensive and fairly smooth/fresh.

My current favorites are ZAAD (From Brazil) and Diptyque Eau de Minthe. Both are clean, not sweet. Many compliments too.

    Older go-to's are:
Chanel for men, Cartier Pasha, and Gucci Envy.

    * Someone once gave me a bottle of Ferrari cologne and I would only sprinkle it on the top vent of my then-cat's litter box after he used it.

I'm very particular to smell, so I have a very definite opinions on cologne:

Every day - Aqua di Gio ...Armani. Its not offensive and very light very good for business meetings, and work.
Weekends - Summer - Clean original scent ...its getting harder to find, but have a good supply on hand. I love the fresh showered floral scent.
Weekends cooler weather - Aqua Di Parma blue Mediteranio ... flora, and lite...
More formal occasions or Black tie or tails : Penhalligan Blenheim bouquet - old fashioned, formal but unmistakable scent.
Aqua di Parma Original... It's not my favorite but I wear it in dark suits, in the winter. not really wear suits, or ties much as before, so I don't use this one as much.

I don't like strong scents, and especially spicy, powdery, or musky scents... a huge turnoff.. some literally make me gag. I don't really care about the name anymore... its the scent. Hermes made one that I kind of liked, but after wearing it for a couple of hours, it just did not smell the same. Scents are different per person, and they mix with your own natural oils, some people can smell that others can't. I'm super sensitive to it. Food, wine etc... I'm excellent at picking out the flavor and odor.... Anything with lilac or gardenia is an instant turn-off for me, it literally chokes me.

Any love for Fragrance du Bois? Producer Michael raves about the stuff but, of course he would, he has a custom fragrance through them.

This time of year it’s Terre d’Hermes, in cooler weather I switch to Johnny Varvatos Vintage.

I wore Terre today. Going to a meeting tomorrow in Santa Barbara in Givenchy Gentleman, Terre lasts all day, it's really nice

I've read that solid fragrances don't project very well but does anyone have any experience / opinion on the heavily advertised Fulton & Roarke line? Always been mildly curious to try one.
