I wanted to buy a decently capable diag scanner for working on my 2015 458 Spider but wasn't going to pay $2000-20,000 for the fancy tools. I talked with Foxwell and they guarenteed the NT809 would work for me so I gave it a shot.
It connects, reads my VIN, and scanned 19 modules. It found my airbag, parking brake and Infotainment faults due to a low voltage condition. It displayed and emailed a nice report and then it cleared the faults NP.
It also prompted me to perform a free update which added even more vehicle models and gave the tool an update for Ferrari cars even.
I'm happy so far but I've only scratch the surface of what it can do I think.
Also it was only $380. Hope that helps.

That's about how much I paid for a Launch X431-29e, but the Ferrari firmware (I believe that's the correct term) was an additional $50. It's useful for service resets, battery registration, rear disk brake service, and of course reading and clearing CEL's.

I think the best value out there is the thinkdiag ..was 80 dollars yesterday and does 95 percent of what the launch pro mini does ..same software (mostly)

I bought the standard with the cable to plug into the ALDL. I've used the scanner on my 458 Spider several times and on other peoples Porsches, Astons, BMWs & Corvettes. It hasn't failed me yet and a few years in I'm very happy with it. Also the company is great to work with. I asked for specific updates twice now to monitor live data on specific sensors and they sent me new firmware/software to install on my scanner.
Can't recommend the scanner enough and I know I'm barely using it's full capabilities.
