Was today at 9;30 4954 Benbrook Rd. Actually FW on Benbrook border. McLaren P1, Carrera GT, both Ford GTs, half a dozen Ferraris and lots of normal stuff too. https://www.parkupfront.com/
Did you go? Conflicts with our long-time 2nd Saturday at Yogi's, which I skipped today due to our predicted "thunderstorms"....which turned out to be the dry, sun peeking through occasional clouds kind of heavy downpour. Didn't set my alarm, so slept-in.
I heard about it yesterday but headed to North Dallas after the Yogi's meet. So much for that incoming storm.
I went to Yogi's and found out about the Upfront event there. Hardly anyone at Yogis so I took off around 9:15. Loki accompanied me too so breakfast inside not an option. Loki was a hit there right up until he approached the P1 to take a piss on a tire. Yanked him off just in time. Definitely many more cars , possibly 100+ ?, but lots of Porsches, ricers etc. Younger crowd by far. Their parking lot is huge so this show may grow. This was their first. I wonder how this will effect the Yogi turnout ? Yogi's first then head over to this ? Possibly a "Yogi" row ?
Yes this was the PetrolHaus unveiling event. JK, who owns a handful of exotics and another west side local are opening a place where you can store your extra "toys" in a climate controlled environment. I don't know if they plan to have an event every month. Website is www.petrolhaus.com.
Visited here today to check it out after seeing the usual at Yogis a handful of times. I would give it a thumbs up, good turnout. They even had a charity thing for children’s backpacks, must have been 50+ donated. I guess this is a monthly deal, sharing the Yogis date. Well that’s cool. Nice to see another event on this side of town instead of all the stuff on the other side North of Dallas. Is this a confirmed monthly thing, or was this just a one time gig? Website has no info. cheers Dave
Yes sir as far as I can tell it’s a monthly deal, maybe with a charity theme each month. They are on the Park Up Front app. But, yes sir a bit refreshing with all of the exotic stuff being 99% concentrated in Dallas. At least 5 Ferraris including the F40 and a 16M. A dozen or more Porsches and most of them GT3/4RS and a Carrera GT. Several solid classics. Several McLarens, several R8 etc. Certainly a presence of a Camaros, challengers etc. I would say an impressive showing for being not only Fort Worth, but in the July heat.
Piston Haus cars & coffee is second Saturday of every month unless announced as cancelled. Parker County Corvette Club does one last Saturday every month in Willow Park that typically has a pretty good exotic turnout (for westside), with exotics having their own section. Ok, great! I’ll try and make one in the Viper. Good stuff. cheers Dave Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks, Joe! Well, it got side tracked a little, but it’s still on. I picked up another car too so it’ll be a few months before I’m ready for the 430 search again. This is my second 97 GTS. Love these cars. Stupidly simple, major power, and great looks! Cheers Dave
Yes, I’ve done both in the same morning before, but was a bit rushed. This is held by @jtkeller and the bulk of the best cars are all his!
