He’s doing so well because he junked his charisma package. The weight saving is giving him an edge.

It's a jab at the FIA. Need I remind you that the FIA has now implemented a rule that any public talk against the FIA can see you points deducted and race bans? When Max was taking his helmet off MBS was already there talking to him.

The funny thing of all this is that now that the for 2025, it's perfectly acceptable to push people off again. Amid all the ridiculousness of rules changes or not changes, I haven't been able to keep up if the previously accepted (in some cases?) pushing people off rule was allowed or not.

Watch Max take full advantage of this again, watch the eternal whining to continue.

It's simple, FIA, tell your drivers to leave space at all times and the madness stops. It's not that hard.

Arrogantly? That’s just your invention - Just lose the language and it’ll read a lot better…if thinking it’s your corner is arrogant it will apply to early all drivers in nearly all incidents…

He knows he tried to cheat. He can't blame no one but himself for getting a bad start. Piastri shut his plans down real quick. Made him pay. Piastri, also Russell basically don't give a crap about Max and look to ruin his day at any given moment.

Is there anything likeable about Max's personality? I'm so tired of his whining every time the seas don't part so people just let him win. Sad thing is, he has mad driving talent. All champions have an ego and push rules to the breaking point - it's basically in the job description - but his is something else. Someone get him a blankey and a bottle and rub his back.

Max should have just given back the position and raced on. Not a big deal, it's a very long season.

Cheat is a big word. Max pushed his luck, and it didn't come off the way he expected.
There was a run-off area inviting him to take a chance.
In such situation, the injured party often claims to have been pushed off the track.
But if there was a solid wall, nobody would try to pass there.

There was no upside to giving the place back.

Correct, but that's not cheating, IMO.
Cheating is doing something improper expecting not to get caught.
Here, Max did his move for everyone to see.
It was during the first lap and he was expecting the officials to be lenient, which happens sometimes ...

My definition is different. Trying to go against the rules is cheating. Does'nt matter if its in the open or not.

5 seconds cost him what.... 4 places? giving the place back cost him 1, and he might have easily gotten it back.

Then according to your definition every driver is a cheat as they all had penalties at some stage. Not a very helpful description then especially as it’s a loaded word - but if it’s reactions you’re after then it’s definitely working ;)

He's salty about the FIA and MBS reminding him post race (as he was taking his helmet off) that anything said against the FIA can result in point deductions or race bans, a rule installed this season.

Correct. If a driver tried to cheat as Max tried to do Sunday and tried to keep the position, then yeah they are also guilty.

If he tried to do what Max did and tried to keep the position going against the stewards yes.

I didn't hear anything from him about the FIA when he had the dominant car though. The FIA was cool then.

He didn't go against the stewards for starters, so your entire narrative is destroyed with your very first assumption.

this entire statement is so incredibly illogical I don't even know where to start explaining to you how desperately wrong it is.
