Priorities are definitely elsewhere these days.

Ham has a two year deal with Ferrari, so they're not committed to him for some long stretch. If he doesn't get near the pace of Leclerc by the start of next season, when the new aero and engine rules are out, they'll cut him loose for sure.

There's still 19 races left, so I expect Ferrari will eventually close the gap to the front, and get some wins in.

Ferrari are static in terms of any recent improvement

—The level of Ferrari compared to the frontrunners was on display in Jeddah, where Leclerc could only manage a 0.376 gap to pole sitter Max Verstappen, leading the Ferrari driver to suggest the team’s upgrades work has done little for their competitiveness.—

The only question is when do they just move on to development for next year…….

Yet Ferrari Corporate are utterly profitable so I’m certain investors see no issue with “priorities”

Some great drivers don't know when to go home, and stay at the party too long.

It's the change to the pull rod suspension. They're lost, and by the time they figure it out, the points lost will likely eliminate them from the championship before the halfway point - realistically speaking anyways.

That(pull-rod suspension) and lowering the rear end of the car. This was the place to do it(lowering). Instead Ferrari went for a low downforce setup and sacrificed cornering speed. Max's car was sparking ALOT during the straights.

God every time I hear this every fiber in my body cringes. I feel like I woke up in the twilight zone where F1 is about selling hats and not winning.

Besides, I’m sure sales were stellar at the signing but who is going to continue to buy/wear gear supporting a crap team? It’s the Motorsport equivalent of Miami Dolphin merch! :D

Well, realistically Vasseur was a catalyst in the signing but Elkann and Vigna were the co-conspirators of the signing and financial outlay.

    I get it though.

Max gets a slight tow from Tsunoda at the start of his qualifying lap.

Then Max makes 2 mistakes in T1-2 and his T13 exit was not ideal.

So Verstappen basically made two big mistakes - and still got the pole. Despite getting a mini tow from Tsunoda (and dumping a lot of hybrid power I suspect) on main straight, the brakes too early and loses time on T1-2 exit. His T13 was not ideal (had some traffic, which may have caused it) and just managed to hold onto his advantage through T27.

He'd get more out of the car irrespective what F did. And could help develop the car. Winning formula.

LH new era smelled like gaslighting, is gaslighting. 100% fail with no future.

I have no problem of course with them selling gear and cashing in. My problem is when the team/fans try to tell me selling merch is more important than winning.

    Development? With what (who?)?
Neither Ferrari driver is a car or setup developer.

Maybe they should snag Hulk from Sauber ...
... although I don't know if he can still set up a car the way he could years ago.

    Sainz ahead of Ham again.
Any bets that Ham punts Sainz off track at turn one?
