I don't think it's anything. Yes, Max spun it a couple of times.

    They'll turn it up tomorrow.

Stroll already had a similar "camper" back when he was in karting.

RedBull is protesting Mercedes DAS on these grounds

The tech regs in the DAS protest reference "aerodynamic influence" and "no adjustment may be made to any suspension system while the car is in motion."

Red Bull state two tech regs have been breached: i) that any car system, device or procedure which uses driver movement as a means of altering the aerodynamic characteristics of the car is prohibited', and...ii) relates to suspension geometry, that no adjustment may be made to any suspension system while the car is in motion.

It's in the hands of the stewards now.

Wasn't this already argued during pre-season testing, resulting in the 2021 season ban of DAS? Why will there be a different result this time? I would have thought they'd figure this out over the past 4-5 months.

I think Red Bull delayed its protest on purpose.
I can't see much point, but they probably want to embarrass both the FIA and Mercedes.
The irony is that DAS will be illegal next season anyway.

Im actually surprised and pleased with this development. They may get it sorted but Horner has been a touch 'smug' about how 'prepared' they have been for this year. Not looking so well today lol

    https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/150312/verstappen-broke-front-wing-in-fp2-qualifying-sim

Max Verstappen says Red Bull's true pace in Formula 1 Austrian Grand Prix practice was disguised by him breaking his front wing on his fastest lap of the day.

With Red Bull having headed into the F1 season opener with high hopes after what it has called its best winter of preparation since it last won the title, both its drivers had challenging times

Verstappen was third fastest in the opening 90-minute session at the Red Bull Ring, trailing the pacesetting Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton by 0.602 seconds.

The Red Bull driver would end up eighth quickest in FP2, this time 0.911s behind Hamilton.

But rather than be too concerned about the performance, Verstappen said he remained upbeat about the ultimate potential of his car having been unable to set a representative qualifying simulation owing to damage he pick up on his front wing.

Speaking to Sky Sports F1, he said: "Yeah it was good. I think it was a good day.

"The lap times didn't really say anything, because I broke my front wing on the fastest lap.

"But we are, I think, confident. There are always things you can do better, but I think overall, it was a good day, and I'm looking forward to tomorrow."
