Qualifying has been delayed due to the rain. Updates every 15 minutes. Radar looks like ALOT of rain so about an hours time.
Ferrari must change the whole PU on both cars. Tomorrow will be a lottery in the end and better for them to have fresh units for the last three races.
I struggle to understand why should they change something as fantastic as "a power unit" instead of the engine. It's so exhausting to rename things so that they sound more modern and fabulous. I'm aware it's the trend, these days, nothing related to you or your comment though.
Congrats Naomi on her marriage. She should get married more often - then she would be away from F1 more frequently too
It's a matter of nomenclature. Here; have some info on Power units. (Let me know if you need something on nomenclature)
Remember when qualifying was done around noon local times? Now days because they set the times to align with Europe viewing schedules, they battle daylight in so many places. Remember when an extreme wet tire was used? Full wet tires are completely useless. Yes it's very wet and it's constantly raining. But I'm certain I've seen F1 cars race in worse conditions before. There had to be rivers on the track to prevent cars going out. It's hard to debate the visibility issue in race conditions, but this is qualifying. I guess better safe than sorry.
Via Autosport: It should be said that should qualifying take place in the morning and, knowing how rain is forecast for the afternoon, the grand prix is unable to be run, the FIA will risk getting serious egg on its face. Should conditions look similarly poor tomorrow afternoon, it would surely be wise to run the GP in the morning instead.
we used to run in the rain , yes it'll be even funnier if the race moves to Monday to allow dry play time!
Wet tires(Blue banded) suck....and they have sucked for the past 3 years. Somehow, Pirelli can't get the wet tires to work in the rain which is why the teams don't use them. A light drizzle, yes but like today, forget it.
No offense Mate, I fully agree with you. Was just talking about the whole system not the ICE alone to be more precise
