I didn't got it since i only watched q3, or charles on a diferent tire from sainz? a slower one?
Very anticlimactic, the wind played a huge part. Let's see how the race goes tomorrow, Ferrari in a good position to pick more points than McLaren (with Sainz starting 5th and Leclerc on mediums)
Too bad Charles not farther up the field to take advantage of starting on the (M)s. Maybe he should have tried the Merc trick of trying (M)s in Q3 as he was faster than Sainz with those in Q2. Great job by Carlos.
Before qualifying I thought that: 1/ Verstappen was going to take pole 2/ Leclerc was going to crush Sainz 3/ Vettel was going to continue his collapse. The older I get and the better I am in my predictions!
Ferrari should have given one of the two the new floor. Trying too hard to not look like favouring one over the other. At that point, try a coin flip. Even though, apparently, the floor mod is intended to work with additional upcoming mods.
I don't understand how they lose a chance to try the floor, i mean it's not like both drivers are fighting for the title....
I have the unpleasant feeling again that the Mercedes war machine is back on track. I think their early season difficulties were real but the ability they have to overcome the technical problems is just depressing..
The stress of earning millions to drive a car and live in Monaco............how do they cope................
I think they improved but things are circuit dependent, and the variance in new tire construct/design.
