Yep. The Sky (Italia) presenter is former GP2 champion and current commentator (F1 italy and F2 for sky UK), and IMO he's brilliant. So enthusiastic. Great guy. He had his back to the 3 drivers when the hands where shaken, so he didn't know they shook hands.

You're right, Elton could've been polite about it. TBH I prefer LH and Vet not liking each other, makes this battle better. Hakkinen/Schumacher was different, they liked each other and had great respect.

 

I think the media are ruining F1 by hair-splitting, over anylysing and repeating themselves all the time.
Most of the commentary is becoming idiotic, IMO.
The average F1 fan (as opposed to the Hamilton fan or the Vettel fan) knows what it's all about and has already formed an opinion.
But why do we have these clowns trying to make things worse by stirring up the s*** all the time and expecting drivers to perform social graces when they don't feel like it!!

The interviewer after qualifying was the biggest IDIOT I have ever seen ..... he was all the dumb twitter feed to Crofty in one person !!!!

Just finally saw quali...interviewer was a cartoon character and neither Seb nor Lewis seemed interested in his publicity stunt. The non-event was over-hyped by some on here...I expected to see something completely different.

 

Who was the interviewer? He was louder than Leigh Diffey.

 

Davide Valsecchi, 2012 gp2 champion and Lotus reserve driver for a while until he understood without money he didn't have a chance to be an official driver. Now he also hosts the Italian version of Top Gear (when he's not at the "ristorante" it seems)

 

At least he is slightly better than the bird who did it last year...what a joke!

Watching the F2 yesterday i had to turn the sound down ..its almost unbearable with that ridiculous overstated accent.

 

I'll point out to you he's Italian, and just has an accent. He can't help that .

I think he's fantastic, so much enthusiasm.

 

Nothing wrong with italians of course...but listening to him for a couple of minutes interviewing after the race was more than enough for me ...imagine 28 laps of that!

 

Many people love the Italian accent, and my mums sicilian accent was absolutely fantastic to listen so, almost musical. I didn't realise that world sport needs to cater specifically for your delicate ears
