It's no different than any other rule that effects the race.

Just finished watching (was delayed on DVR).

Congratulations to Button, what an absolutely fantastic race!

I wish Schumi had gotten on the podium...

Since everyone will focus on Lewis as usual, I think the incident with Webber was more Lewis' fault, but a racing incident. There were lots of bumps and hits and lots of damaged wings, but of course only Lewis will be chastised on here :)... no penalty needed.

Button and Hamilton. Most definitely Buttons fault - he just drove Lewis off the road, but there is no way Jenson would do it on purpose - he didn't see him. Should be called a racing incident.

As for Button and Alonso... Button was in the lead and on the racing line but dove down the inside. Racing incident, for sure.

Massa displays his lack of talent (again).

Some from Ferrari PLEASE take Felipes keys and helmet, walk down to the Sauber garage, hand them to Kobayashi, and tell him he starts on Monday. Please.

I think MS was undone more by the drying conditions than DRS (though it didn't help him).

I really had hopes that this was finally Ferrari's race. You have to say on that level this was a big disappointment-- much like the season in general. It started out with high hopes and ended badly.

It is a rule. It is also artificial. Question is does it improve the sport or not.
After today I think not. It improves the show but not the race.

That is BS! Button won, they shouldn't penalize him after the race, especially when there was plenty of time/laps left for a drive thru penalty.

Michael was absolutely dominating on the inters. Michael and Jenson were dominating on them. The dry line and the supersofts is what really gave him trouble

But so did the F duct. And so does Red Bull's flex wing or Brawn's double defuser.

Its the fact that uniquely the DRS is not applied across the board for all drivers at all times that bothers me.

That's a factual statement. He also said 'I don't know if he saw me though. I know Jensen and he wouldn't move me into the wall intentionally'.

What we know about that incident is:

    1. Jensen had a bad chicane...he over-braked and lost speed

    2. Hamilton had a good one, and launched off with enough momentum for a clean pass

    3. As he reached Button, Button moved him left and then dipped him, which resulted in the crash.

What we don't know is a) did Button see LH and b) if the jerk to the left was due to being surprised to find Lewis alongside him.

telemetry, replay, etc will tell the stewards the full story.

Regarding Alonso, he may not escape that one either. It seems of late that if a driver hits another from behind and is able to continue, they get hit with a penalty (e.g. Hamilton/Maldonado incident last weekend). However, the difference is that PM had the racing line in Monaco while FA did not in this race.

Well I can see it both ways so I really don't have an opinion. But I really enjoyed the race and maybe that's all that really matters in the end.

IMO Button should be penalized but the guy drove a great race!
