Holy crap. REALLY would be nice if a maximum size could be mandated. As fast as you can go within that parameter. These cars are just too big for these tracks. Combined with the purposeful creation of turbulent air, just a disaster. Kevin

I'm curious, so The Renault was fitted with 2020 Pirelli tires or 2021 or "test" tires? Last time I checked it used the old (and ugly) grooved Michelin tires.
Yes, they used the old grooved tires back then which from my understanding are no longer made and the remaining ones are used for static display only on cars...not meant to be run.
Wow! Looks like he's actually going for fast laps. Any idea on the lap times being put up? Not sure I've seen the R25 in that livery missing the Elf logo behind the Hanjin on the nose...funny it has the Michelin logo on the sidepods and rear wing endplates while wearing Pirellis. edit: It's missing all the Elf logos...weird.
There's a YouTube vid showing the exact same thing but at the end of that vid almost everyone was on the side and on top of the pit lane to see this car go by. Norris was in the garage as they were getting it ready.
Ah so that means it was faster than the new cars. Looks like the grooved tires did their job back in the day slowing the cars down and the new slicks and compounds are miles ahead.
But the ones that were fitted to the Renault R25 were Pirellis... And Alonso for sure was running them good.
Missing Elf, and replacing the now politically incorrect "Mild Seven" (referring to some forgotten cigarettes...)
Not really...last year race fastest lap was under 1:40. Pole time was a little under 1:35. But the 1:43 is off timestamps and he messed up one corner and the gearing and aero are likely not ideal for the course. They ran Team Spirit in 2005 in races they weren't allowed to show tobacco sponsors. Ferrari ran barcodes for those and McLaren put drivers names in place of West. I don't know why Elf logos would be off the car now, though. It makes the car look plain/empty.
Probably a sponsorship conflict - Renault F1 currently has Castrol / BP as partners while Elf is part of Total oil company.
I saw that pic showing all of Seb's Ferrari helmets. I noticed the more helmet design changes he had in a season the worse he performed. Probably needs to focus his energy elsewhere like on the track to stop spinning out.
The actual sound is not bad for me, i like it. It's just too quiet, wife can't tell i'm watching F1 now. Can't beat the sound of the V10s,V8s.
