FINALLY picked the game up 2 days ago. Great fun...only I'm wondering if I put it on too easy a difficulty level. Somehow I don't think I should be able be in a Lotus and battle Vettel for second in my second race, or put the Lotus on pole in the third....

Otherwise great fun! The weather sim really is quite good.

Any tips/tricks you guys can suggest that are buried within this thread?

I'm in my second season now and driving the Ferrari. I have the AI on the lowest level, but otherwise realistic settings (driving aids, damage, weather). However the AI are just leaving me in the dust: I'm seconds behind them, whether qualifying or racing. It's almost as if my car is missing some hp or something, totally bizarre. While in the previous season I was challenging for victories in a HRT.

Anyway, next month the new game will come out covering this year's season.

If you have fuel simulation on, turn it off. The game doesn't sim fuel for the AI and the player the same way. For example, if you do a 20% race, you will start out with a full fuel load and it will burn off 5x as fast, so you're low on weight at the end. On the other hand, it will just put 20% as much fuel in the AI cars but they burn it at the regular rate.
If you turn it off, you're going to be a good bit faster in the beginning and even at the end. If you leave it on, you're going to be a hell of a lot slower in the beginning and even at the end. I just turn it off and turn up the AI to compensate for the added speed in the first few laps.

That's what happened to me and why I stopped playing. Waiting for the new game to come out.

I changed it so fuel doesn't count and removed the tyres wearing out. Made the game fun again tho a tad easy

    Only 2 seasons to go!

Does anybody have a copy of the manual for the game?? I can't find mine.

Here is the problem. A couple of times playing the game it starts raining in Korea late in the race. If I go to the pits to change to rain tires like everyone else, my team gives me soft tires!!!!! Can't figure out how to make them put rain tires on, very frustrating!!

    Please help!!

Robert, before you go in the pits use your d-pad and select tires and then inters or rain. I can't remember which it is, but it's the arrow that let's you change wing downforce and engine setting.

Chris, you the man!! However, I don't know what any of those buttons are because I don't have the manual!! I have one of the Logitech GT2 I think steering wheel/gas peddle combos.

What would it be on the steering wheel??? Do you do this while the game is paused or while trying to drive??

Is it the Logitech Driving Force GT, I don't think they make a GT2? If so, on the left-hand side of the wheel there is a circle with 4 way directional buttons, it's one of those. You press it while you're driving and before you pit, you can also change front wing downforce and engine settings all while mid-race.

I was always wondering how to adjust the wing as well when driving! Thanks!
