Great site and pictures. I love the GT40. These, the 917's and the P3/4's, it just doesn't get any better. Which P4 is that behind the GT40 in the first picture. Is that Jims car?
Isn't 1012 used for a second car as well? I think the white and black car driven a Mr Lecou here in Europe is 1012 as well.
That's what happens when you give the original chassis to your friend who promises to turn it into a garden planter but doesn't...
Hello, Here is a message from Yves Saguato, 1012's owner : " Dear GT40 owners and fans, A quick hello from the owner of the FORD GT MKII restored by Don Davis in '73 then sold to Stan Ross in '89 : GT40 P/1012 Merci for your messages and encouragements on 1012 and her web site www.gt40-1012.com It was real pleasure to gather her history, I would like to thank again my frend Don Davis who gave me all his records, pictures, documents, letters from his ownership and especially the restoration. It took us more than one year of researches to find out all these informations ! We recently participated to the "Goodwood Festival of Speed" and invite you to find soon a report on the "News" section of the site. Regarding the '83 replica, when it was sold in '94 to Mr Grave by Symbolic they asked him to sign a disclaimer in which he acknowledged to purchase only a replica, the low price paid clearly reflected it. This disclaimer was given to me when I purchased 1012. For any matter, if you want to get it touch with me, please feel free to send me an e-mail to : [email protected] Jim, I'm ok to organise a reunion with 1012 and 0846 at Daytona, I'll repaint her in yellow and check the T44 just for it. You should reconise another of your cars on one of the following pictures. The passion is intensly burning, Yves Saguato " Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
