What should this cost approximately? I love my car, but hate driving it on Houston highways. Got a nice little crack extending to the edge last week. Damn!!!!

Not sure what it costs in the USA, but you should budget for just a little bit more than you would for buying a 2nd home!;)

I cracked mine also on a 2002 Spider. Ferrari of Scottsdale quoted me $2200. Install is extra.

A truck threw up a rock on my 550 two weeks ago. Insurance covers - no impact on rates (assuming you have not had repeated windshield claims in the past). I have a $1,000 deductible - the total cost: $3,200 -- $2,200 windshield, $600 of trim $400 labor.

Thanks for the info. Pretty expensive. More than I thought. Sounds like an insurance claim to me.

Just a funny aside here -- I use a $1000 comprehensive deductible to keep my insurance costs down, so when I called the glass shop to arrange to get my TR windshield replaced from a stone hit that turned into a crack, the clerk said "it won't cost that much" to which I responded "oh yes it will" ;)

    $1500 glass (from Locan -- dealer was more like $2~2.5K) + $800 trim + $200 labor to install = $2.5K

2nd point -- You should look into the $ savings of a higher deductible (at least $250 if not $500). It may seem like your only paying $50 now, but you've probably already paid several thousand $ in an increased premium over a few years to have such a low deductible -- just a suggestion...

    window $2104
    trim $781
    labor $544

I had my 360 windshield replaced by the dealer back in 12/2000. Parts were just under $2000 and labor about $500. Labor involved removal of trunk cover and wiper assembly before a glass subcontractor replaced the dealer provided windshield.
