Any advice on preventing flat spots on my tires during Winter garage storage. Obviously moving the car every so often but was thinking more along the lines of those things you put under tires.

Thanks in advance. Image Unavailable, Please Login

You can purchase items that you place under the tires to prevent flat spotting and I used to used Wheel Dollies in the past but lately I've been raising the tire pressure to 50lb during winter storage and then bleeding them back down to normal before a drive. Works great for me.

You can also overinflated the tires- have a look on the sidewall of the tires for the max pressure. I'd back it off by a ~5PSI. Just remember to bring the pressures down before you go driving around. I use a sticky note and affix it to the steering wheel.

I use Flatstoppers from https://raceramps.com/ and run the pressure 5 lbs under max with temp above 60F. If your garage is cold set it to 5lbs above normal because the pressure will go up as temps go up.

Slightly overinflating is typically enough, the low profile tyres have rather rigid sidewalls.

There is no need to do anything to prevent flat spot with these new tyre.

    Just add some extra air.
