I dunno if this is the right place for this, but has anybody gotten a line on going fishing in Cuba?
Why not just come on down and fish in Florida? Are you assuming there are some special fish in Cuba? We have a ****-ton of great fishing on the Gulf Coast. a ****- TON. D
Actually, the pressure is starting to show. On this last Cabbage Key trip, we caught several legal snook, but no redfish. And the trout were on the small side. We even had trouble casting for shiners. One of the problems with getting old is you remember the way it used to be. (Plus, being frank, the number of drunk *******s on the water appears to be increasing exponentially.) But, still, sitting in the pass and scooping up tidal crabs to fish for tarpon, priceless. I've fished Marlin in Cuba. The boats and equipment are not the best. If you have a boat that you are gonna fish in Cuba it's decent fishing. Best Kirk.
Hadn't thought about that. But I'm guessing inshore is okay? I am concerned about pollution. Socialist countries have been know to take short cuts>
I know a fair number of guys that fished the Hemmingway Billfish tournament in June. They said it was good but not spectacular. I wouldn't take my own boat there. Too many sketch things going on. Fairly easy to charter. Most of the hardcore guys I know are going to Costa Rica.
