Does this hold any truth? Has anyone heard differently? http://jalopnik.com/#!5776583/ferrari-ff-lamborghini-aventador-sold-out-for-first-production-year
If Jalopnik said it I would highly doubt it, but I have heard that Ferrari has already had a lot of orders taken
Ferrari always says this kind of stuff. Sometimes it's true, sometimes it's not. I dont doubt that a real buyer would be able to walk in tomorrow and order an FF for 2011 delivery or early 2012.
That is interesting if you talk to most of the Ferrari dealers in the United States they have no idea how many FF's they will get this year or when. They don't even have a order sheet. If this turns out to be true then the United States would get Zero cars this year which I find very hard to understand. This is like when a new Condo building would go up in Chicago and before they even break ground they say 95% sold out - Yeh right.
There is some truth in certain cases (like Elysian). Btw,FF's base price is supposed to be comfortably below $300k mark. I'm curious what the real MSRP is going to be,if it goes to mid $300k (before the options) it will kill the sales.
FF isn't sold out, however it's def sold out in some locations. That being said, whenever they say a car is sold out, I usually call up my dealer to see if I can get a spot on one, and usually I can I suspect they say it's sold out so suckers like me call in Only car it wasn't the case with was the 458 Italia, but it may just have been that I called in late.
I saw an FF driving though my college the other day. I couldn't believe it, and the car looks very sexy. Much better looking in the flesh!
"Sold Out" and "Paid for" are two completely different terms that are not connected in the automotive realm. The LFA was "Sold Out" but now there are plenty to go around, how can that be? They were not paid for leaving customers the option of cancelling delivery.
Wouldn´t that be the usual way of Ferrari? I think normally they first start supplying the European LHD market and other markets (like RHD and USA) follow quite a bit later.
Since the FF is sold out my Wife bought one of these yesterday in this color. I thought it drove very nicely. Image Unavailable, Please Login
A very, very nice car indeed. Are they at the dealers already? Ultimate daily driver in our weather, congrats to your Wife.
Nice choice Before the 612 I drove a CL65 and really wanted a Bentley. At the dealer I saw a 612 and for the difference went with the 612 vs the Bentley. I do not know how the FF is more of a dd than a 612 ... I do know that a few months later I bought a RR to compliment the 612. The Bentley would not have required a RR compliment ... and that's a fact!
The guys that think it will result in dibs on the new Enzo / 458 Spider and most of all the new 599! Think about this ... the new 599 will most likely outperform the GTO. That's going to leave a mark!
