    It definitely is a new golden age. It's also great since the company I work for already has done the R and D to extract gobs of reliable HP from the LSA due to the CTS-V's :) I'll tell you, 710 hp is fantastic!

    That said... rumors and rumblings I hear over from the GT500's for 2012.5 will be north of 600 HP.

    Well it is or was for charity, obviously boosting up the sale price.
    I read today the price may be mid 50's for one when they go on sale. I suppose if there are no dealer markups.

    You must be thinking of a different camaro. There are only going to be 69 zl1's made. There is one in the dupont registry for 114900.

    To clarify, there were 69 made in 1969. The "69 made" is not referring to the 2012 model.

    NO, im talking about the one that sold at Barrett Jackson auction recently which is the one this thread is about. I am not talking about the SLP built versions.

    I appreciate "horsepower" as much or MORE than the next guy...But....making available these MONSTER horsepower cars to the general public who for the most part have NO advanced drivers training...is PURE SUICIDE!!!....Mark

    Love the car and how they took a well balanced design and made it better without being too cheesy like some Stangs.

    It's nice to see America producing some world-class, powerful cars.

    Was this car at Daytona 24? It was a black ZL1 and looked great. Got to sit in it but did not look at the VIN. It sounded great. Also saw the ZR1 used for the run at the ring at the 24 hours race.
