I find it humorous that a company that has so many electrical gremlins is going to make an all electric car.

Pathetic at best, with that being said, I will stick to my collection of 1/32 nd Ferrari slot cars, which will, by the way, be much more fun .

    Thank you

If they perform like the Rimac/ Pininfarina HyperCars- I think even the most jaded enthusiast will take notice

So they're now planning to use tech from 1899 that Baker Motor Vehicles was using to sell cars including to Thomas Edison...lol. At least they could have announced something cool like Koenigsegg did with volcano-based green fuel Vulcanol.

Once all the cars are electric, the only differentiator will be styling. Based on the SF90, Ferrari is in real trouble.

Why doesn't Ferrari do the same as Porsche and develop carbon neutral fuels ??

I’m jaded and I absolutely take notice of the performance of hybrid/ electric cars. How can you not. Taking notice and shelling out $300K for a silent sprint to 60 in under 3 seconds is just not something I’m gonna entertain.

I guess I’m lucky I was able to own some great NA cars, including a Scud and 458. And I’ll keep and maintain my Lusso until it croaks.

Otherwise I would rather drive my truck, gas for now, electric in the future, and leave the money to my kids….

Because they are pointless, completely a feel good exercise in futility, not to mention a waste of money.

Porsche is the apparent leader (i.e. VW), and their grand plan calls for 500m liters production in 2025, that's for the entire year, and that would only fill 80% of a single ULCC tanker, that's right, an entire year's production would not even fill a single ultra-large supertanker! And, that amount, would power Europe (including UK) for about 5 days at current gasoline demand levels.

Sure, would find some use for motorsports, which is what Porsche will initially be using it for...

Now, another issue as to "why not", is the pending Euro 7 regulations do not differentiate CO2 origins at all, not that it matters, because for that to be a factor, all petroleum based fuels would need to be replaced throughout Europe, with carbon-neutral fuels, only need 73 more of of those Porsche eFuel sites, and the first one is not really online yet, and, who knows if it will really make its expected quota by 2025...even if it does, means absolutely nothing in terms of what Euro 7 regulations will bring...

...eFuels will make it possible to reduce fossil CO2 emissions in combustion engines by up to 90 per cent. Among other things, we’ll be using the first fuel from Chile in our Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup racing cars from 2022...

Yes, for motorsports, that's where they will use it, they want to 'feel good' about their consumption for motorsports, that's the only reason for this at this time...

This statement and its implications is beyond absurd:
But so are our much-loved historic vehicles, because around 70 per cent of all Porsche sports cars ever built are still on the road today. Our tests with renewable fuels are going very successfully.

just how are they planning on delivering fuel to just those owners? Can't be done, is everyone going to drive to Germany to get a barrel to take home?

If they're investing 100's of millions don't you think they would figure out distribution ??
