    Guys,
I am booking for the Ferrari Finali Mondiali in Daytona
I like to make some reservations for a few upscale restaurants in the Daytona, Ormond Beach or vicinity.
I am taking my son for his 16th birthday and I like to show him what the Ferrari lifestyle is all about.
I looked online and I liked a place called The Cellar and 31 Supper Club.
Any input or rcommendations would be appreciated

    thanks
    Dominic

My parents live in the area so I visit frequently. Fine dining and the Daytona area don't really go together. Tons of great places but none I would consider fine dining. Gene's Steak House used to be great with lots of drivers eating there but two recent reviews on TripAdvisor tell me something is amiss there.

Karling's in DeLeon Springs is different and worth the drive but I wouldn't call it fine dining.

Hull's in Ormond is great seafood but very casual.

Tomoka Brewery in Port Orange has good beer and surprising food but really casual too.

Dad says he hears good things about The Cellar but hasn't been.

A drive over to Orlando is in order for really fine dining.

    Good luck.

JB's Fish Camp in New Smyrna is fun as well, but again far from fine dining.

agree on a trip to Orlando for true fine dining. if you have your Ferrari with you, that could be a great way to introduce your kid to the Ferrari lifestyle...a spirited drive to and from a great meal :)

Chucherias Hondurenas in Holly Hill, just a few mile north of Daytona Beach. I took my crew for celebration dinner there after a fulfilling week of racing last fall. Not super dressy (it is Florida after all), but food and wine selections were superb and affordable compared to the Northeast.

Riverview Hotel on river in New Smyrna Beach is nice and the Spanish River Grill are upside for the area. NSB is 10 miles south of Daytona on I-95, also accessible on US1.

I live in the area and there are a few good places.

1- Fine Italian dining...Osteria Rustica. Palm Coast just a bit north of Ormond. Real Italian food. Chef will probably come to your table and visit with you, speak in Italian if you prefer. Small place maybe 10-12 tables so book in advance. Pricey but not ridiculous. Apparently good selection of wine but I wouldn't know for sure, I don't drink. Don't skip dessert.

2-Thai- Zen Bistro in Daytona. Some of the best Thai food I've had.

3-Pizza- not fine dining but good for casual meal, Genovese Restaurant in Ormond Beach. There are two with the same name. One is in Port Orange and the other in OB. Go to Ormond Beach one.

4-Vegetarian/vegan- Kale café. Again casual but very tasty. Their "burgers" are delicious. Two locations in area, I'd go to Ormond location which is a few doors from Billy's Tap Room.

5-Billy's Tap Room - Old established restaurant, what I'd call traditional American food. It has undergone recent renovation and new owners. It's in Ormond Beach. Might be wise get reservation. Somewhat pricey.

6-Blau- Casual Spanish style restaurant in Ormond Beach.

I'd stay away from restaurants near the speedway unless it's for fast food.

Aunt Catfish's in Port Orange. Not too far from the track.

Don't ever eat there. I won't get into specifics but can say I knew numerous people who worked there and based on what I was told I would never eat there.

I used to eat there once in a while years ago bit the quality took a nose dive. I'd avoid it.

We regularly go to 31 and Kona next door. Frappes up the street is good too. In Daytona, Zappi's is good Italian and Ronin is good sushi. Boondocks on the river in Wilber-by-the-Sea is good and casual. Lastly, Captain's BBQ on A1A in Palm Coast (Bings Landing) is regularly rated nationally for its food, and it's a great drive!
