    Hey guys,

This post is way overdue -- about 4 months overdue! I did purchase and take delivery of the car back in May, but I have been too busy/lazy to take photos and post pictures. Sorry that these pics are so mediocre. But here is my beauty! She has about 28k miles at the moment.

Anyway, I would like to thank everyone here who helped me, including my t coupe brethren, and especially Michael B, jknight, ARIE, rfking, and gmark340.

My thoughts? The car is like a practical 348. It is very much like the 348, which makes it great. It's quite fast -- it really does feel just as fast as my 348. But the power steering is nice and the adjustable suspension settings really are noticeable, which is impressive for 1989 technology. The car is comfortable and easy to drive, and it has space in it I couldn't be happier. The Mondial t coupe might just be the most underrated Ferrari ever. Soon my F collection will be complete! I'm still a few years away from my 1994 512tr...

Very nice car. How is the interior room in the drivers seat as compared to the 348?

As with the 348, the driver seat in the Mondial t slides back only so far. So if you're tall, you might still have a problem, although you can in the Mondial t recline the seatback as far as you want without having to worry about hitting a rear shelf. There is definitely more headroom and lateral space in the Mondial t.

Alright, Dave! I just turned over 4000 miles in my '89 t Coupe since getting it exactly four months ago (May). Terrific car! Enjoy yours.

Yes, my MtC had that panel - looked like a non-opening glovebox door. Indeed, since there was nothing in the space behind it, I wondered why Ferrari had deleted the glove box that was present up through the M3.2.

I thought that that panel, like the unpaneled area in these photos above, needed something, so I got another of those stick-on "Mondial-t" insignia from the car's right ass and put it on the bottom-right of the dash (like the "GTS" in a 328). Looked very nice and "identified" the car from the inside. :)

Another thing I did to my MtC that you may want to consider for this one: This is the only Ferrari I know on which a door-ding protective rubber strip not only fits but actually looks very good (IMHO). You can buy self-adhesive strips of black rubber - 1/4 to 1/2" wide per taste - very cheaply at auto supply stores. Notice the "beltline" on this MtC. A black rubber strip can be applied along it, which protects from dings and also compliments the horizontal lines of the car. Try it. If you don't like the look, you can just peel it off. Cost probably about $5 for the strips.

The car looks great! I'm glad you were able to find what you were looking for. We'll have to compare notes when you head across the Hudson but mine does have that fake glove box. But for that, and the color, they look the same. I hope it gives you a good long life of driving fun!

    Thanks again guys.

Regarding the fake glove box thing, I did some searching around and I found pictures of it. Really strange that some cars have it and some cars do not. Just another one of the quirks from Ferrari and Ferrari NA I guess!

Perhaps one of our old-time Ferrari specialists can chime in a give us the history on this fake glove box thing.
